:rotfl: I'm exactly the same with the free dinner! And we have the same type of flatmate.. :rolleyes: And the same vision! I honestly cannot wait to have my own kitchen and all the cupboards are mine to fill with insane amounts of kitchen stuff.

Well done on the NSD yesterday and for not caving and going to Starbucks! You'll get the green eyed monster often. I know I do when I see all my mates moving into their own places. But oh well, my time will come!

just wanted to say hi and its a hard thing when you see everyone round you doing stuff you wanted to do but if you keep heading in the right direction keep your goal you will get there and it will be brilliant and worth any hardship on the way.

i was the same everyone round me were getting houses (easily it seemed) and still seemed to have money left over for holidays and noghts out etc and yet i was struggling to save anything for a mortgage never mind the hassle of actually getting one. (no deposit)
got married (after saving for ages for that and on a strict budget) and me and the hubby still lived at home with my mum for 2 years and after 2 house buying attempts (when the market was at scary prices) we finally found a mortgage that suited us and in a better area and a better house than we could have imagined. we have nearly finished decorating and although we havent got lots of spare cash i know all the sacrifices down the line have been worth it cos i can go home to our wee place and close the door.

there will be times you will feel like its all doom and gloom just come on here everyone is so helpful and will soon get you back on track.

just think where you could be a in a few years and it all comes clear:T

Not a good day...

I'm really not feeling well....swolen glands...I smell a cold coming on...well I cant smell anything cos my nose is blocked but you know what i mean...

AND all I can think about is buying a cajun chicken baked potato... (£3.50).... might not seem much to you guys but im on a STRICT plan... and a baked potato has not been budgeted for this week AND I was out for dinner with my mates last night :grouphug: (pre planned and I stuct to budget- £20 - BANG ON...it was a close one... :j... high five me....)

Therefore how can I justify spending money today... :idea: well I can't ... so I decided to come on here and winge about it.... this was fun at first... not so much now... if i had a baked potato it would be fun again ill bet....

I'm feeling better already...thats a lie... im feeling sorry for myself... ive given myself another 5 minutes then im over it...

REALLY NOT A GOOD DAY!!!

'THE PLAN' has reached some bumps on the debt free road...

So I phone my BOS card and they can only reduce my interest to 23.9% on purchases...no 0%...so ive got that...as above no change...well a little change...PMA...pennies make POUNDS!!!

Another slight boo boo in the plan was that my M&S card said i have no balance transfers available to me ...im hoping this is because im currently at my credit limit.... AND that once I transfer my entire balance out of the card that they might change their tune (doubtful) the guy on the phone told me to do that then phone up and apply for one...

SO whats left of 'THE PLAN' will be executed as before on the 31st of the month, it just might not be as plain sailing as i though, once ive re-jigged what balance transfers I can im going to THEN do my snowball and rate what should be paid off first...

I AM STAYING POSITIVE... that is NOT a trember you hear in my voice...ITS NOT!!!

I dont think anyone reads this but i will continue on my quest (and this provides me with a timeline and a vent)

So I AM STILL NOT on the electrol roll and wont be 'found' until after 4th of august even though i sent my form off AGGGGGEEESSSS ago...

So once i transfer all my addresses (phone bills and 1 CC left still registered at old address) thinking of applying for a virigin card again... (it was when i got KB'd the last time i found out i wasnt on my council tax and electrol roll properly...(MY TAZ MATE GRRRRR) Things like this really help my motivation! But im not getting my hopes up... think im basically just going to have to hammer the 5,600 on the BOS card... not my ideal senario to be in...

SILVER LINING...nope...there is none...

Thanks to Dinah93 who gave me lots of info im going to sign up the mystery shopping and surveys sites etc...im going through them one by one... got one or two at first but has since dried up! So will sign up for more...something ANYTHING to help me a little bit financially....

Also (I like to run) found free 5k organised runs every saturday (most races are £10 to entre) 'PARKRUN' people... that should help me get back into shape... plan is to do them every sat morning... should also help keep me off the vino on a friday night....

Im reading too, try to stay positive (says me who is permanently avoiding my debt at the moment) - I seem to be in the perpetual state of 1 step forward and then 2 back:)

If it makes you feel better I just got turned down by virgin too, I have 3600 cc debt on one card just about to finish its 0% and another card with my bank with a limit of 2300 and nothing on it (does get used for emergencies and paid off every month). I have no late payments and have not gone over my limits in the last 6 years, I earn 32k a year and virgin have said I have enough credit for my income and they are unable to give me a card, am gutted! I was going to close the natwest card, bt the tesco to virgin and use that as my emergency cc. I think they have got so strict on who they are giving cards too.
