I'm addicted already! :T
Going to sign up for some surveys and do them on my lunch or something? Pennies make pounds! Maybe use this money to start some sort of savings for a deposit (its money I wouldnt have normally had)!
Going to try and get involved in the Mystery Shopping aswell...any recommendations to the best ones? Any im going to put some things on ebay...I gave a big bag of clothes to my mum recently think ill rummage it first before handing the rest to the homless shelter!
What are the challenges people are doing? How do I find out more about them... maybe spice my debt free dream up a little! :j0 -
Challenges - I.e above £10 a day or the sealed pot challenge... im intrigued!0
-
Just cancelled a subscription costing me 20 bucks a month and tomorrow im cancelling my 2nd thats right 2nd gym membership...as if not going to one wasnt enough I decided to not go to two!
Have to wait until October to cancel the other but at least that will be 50 quid a month im saving....
Going to dig out my CC statements and find out exactly how much im paying in interest i think one of them... Halifax is 29.9% as I have withdrawn ALOT of cash...yeh yeh I know I WAS an idiot....0 -
Might be worth phoning the banks to get the correct interest rates.
If you have withdrawn cash on a CC, the interest rate will be more than the standard APR for purchases. You should find out how much is at the purchase rate and how much at the cash advance rate.
Just curious - what do you mean byI can't really apply for other credit cards as I got KB'd or have to built up a ratingAfter falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
I applied for a virgin balance transfer and got declined!!!
I have no o/s bills or anything like that so the only thing it can be is that I have went over my overdraft limits and credit card limits but i have in the last 4/5 years always made my payments and on time so im guessing it must be because i have went over the limits? When i go over the limits the minute i know ive cleared the balances...its just been down to bad organisation and not known what i have on the cards! This happens about...if im honest 10 times a year...between 1 overdraft and 1 credit card...both with same bank...
SAYING that i had just moved flats and i recently found out wasnt registered properly on the council tax or electrol roll so it might have been that but im now too scared to do another application and affect my credit rating even more!
Building up a limit I meant that I got a barclay card and my orginal limit was 800, but now its up at 2,800 because i made regular payments and never put anything further on the balance. Still have 300 o/s on it but was going to clear that and balance transfer one of my other cards balance on to it.
The highest balance i have is Halifax... but the balance is so big (5,600) that i dont know how to 'shuffle' my cards to take advantage of the balance transfers on them! (all 3 have balance transfers)
How quickly will it take to affect my credit rating if i NEVER go over my limits again?0 -
I think the plan you put above with regards transferring with your current cards is the best thing to do.
For missed payments, they have little effect after 1 year so i should think that going over your limits would be the same period at most. You can have about 3 credit checks in a 6 month period before your score is affected so i would suggest tring again in about 4 months, but definately get the electoral roll info updated - this makes a huge difference. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Not a good day...
Spent 30 quid on day out tomorrow... 17 quid on a camping bag and 3 getting my memory card put onto a disk as the boyf is away so cant put them onto his comp like i normally would... no purchases that i really wanted to make... ( i had commited to this as part of a team before i pulled my head out of the sand, and people had hired me stuff (at no cost).
Total spend: 50 quid..... going to be camping more so would have have to have spent the money at some point but isnt really helping me in my quest for world domination...
SILVER LINING:
- Purchase was out of my account so nothing more on CC's (Main focus)
- Ive stuck to taking my lunches
- Ive not spent ANY money on the vending machine
- I stole a packet of crisps from my mate
- Ehhh i cant think of anymore???
Im staying POSITIVE!!!! Phoning bank tonight to find out what my interest rates are and going to do a snowballl...
