My last post I promise!
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/pre-sale.html
eBay permits pre-sale listings only on a limited basis. The seller must guarantee that the item will be available for dispatch within 30 days from the date of purchase (i.e., the day the listing ends or the date the item is purchased from a shop front listing). The seller must also clearly indicate within the listing the fact that the item is a pre-sale item with a delivery date that indicates the item will be dispatched by the 30th day from the end date of the listing. Additionally, this text must be no less than the default font size of the eBay Sell-Your-Item form. Currently, the default font size is HTML font size 3.

Note: You'll also be required to specify a dispatch time when you list your item. If you do not specify a dispatch time, eBay will select a default dispatch time for you.
This is from one of my auctions where I have said a 2 day dispatch time:
£2.10
United Kingdom
Royal Mail 1st Class Standard
4-5 business daysafter seller receives cleared paymentI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. hmm
I state a 1 day dispatch time and mine says this for 1st class:
Postage & Packaging - Free P&P
To - United Kingdom
Service - Royal Mail 1st Class Standard
Estimated Delivery - 2-3 business days after seller receives clear payment
why is there a 2 day difference between mine and soolins estimated delivery when there is only a 1 day difference in the dispatch time?0 -

How about C) Think of the hassle if it shows up SNAD.My TV is broken!

Hmm, that's a good point I'm going to go back and double check my listing in case something is adrift.
EDIT: Something must be wrong on mine as I get the same estimate if I check my 2nd class items as well . There are also people selling the same item with the same terms for despatch yet vary on estimated delivery times. As I ship virtually all my items same or next day I wonder if it might pay me to go to a 1 day despacth instead.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have cancelled my claim before when it has turned up, but I've never had anything turn up after paypal have decided to give me my money back.ArmitageShanks wrote: »FAO: Everyone who opens a not received dispute after a very short period and then escalates to a claim,

It's all very well banding around with wanton abandonment 'open a dispute after 7 days if you haven't got your item', but does anyone think of the repercussions that this just opens door to a world of 'free' shopping, and for some I bet theycannot believe their luck!!?
You can, apparently, change the reason for your claim.frivolous_fay wrote: »How about C) Think of the hassle if it shows up SNAD.This is my opinion. Any chance they were posting from N Ireland as Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th were public holidays so it may take a few days longer to reach destination?0

Yes, but this was only changed recently.... and if I know anything about PP, they like to make what should be a simple task, very difficult!

It could even be a wildcat strike maybe if you are similarly affected? I know in my area we had a number of wildcat strikes last year none of which were ever shown on the news as it wa slocal issues..and that seemed to cause major problems for some sorting offices never actually catching up with the backlog.
If you having issues with outward post may I suggest that you contact your local sorting office and ask for advice in case there are specific issues. I had to do this about 4 Christmasses ago when I had a run of losses and they were very helpful.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
