Morning ladies, just a quick note as got a busy morning… will be back to catch up on how everyone is shortly.

Well, as suspected last week, the hospital basically made a mistake. We should have been on short protocol to begin with, but they started us on long protocol by mistake. This cycle has now been cancelled, and we’ll be starting SP from scratch from next AF. So 2.5 weeks of daily buserelin injections I didn’t need – lovely!

Wouldn't have minded if it was a case of things changing through the course of treatment as I know that happens a lot. But it is quite annoying that they've admitted they made a mistake. It should have been SP all along, but they didn't read the notes properly.

Hey ho.. trying to stay calm about it all.

How frustrating tea  but, this is the one that will work ;):D

I'm developing line eye :o worse than that, tilting way after the time, line-eye. :o I'm gonna plummet into depression so hard if AF rolls into town :

How frustrating and upsetting for you. Buserelin's not the nicest thing to take if you don't need to! TBH, although I'm surprised they made a mistake I'm not surprised that the short protocol is the preferred option - it's much kinder on you.

But... onwards and upwards. Fingers crossed!

From the way they explained it on friday, it makes me wonder why anyone gets long protocol! To be fair to them, they were very apologetic about it all. They admitted it was a mistake straight away. I would never have known if they hadn't told me so I guess I should be pleased they're being so honest about it.

They said I could carry on with this cycle if I wanted to, but they recommended starting again. We're definitely going with what they suggest - otherwise if things didn't work it would just be something else to blame ourselves for.

As I said to the nurse, at least I've had plenty of injection practice now :p.

I'm currently CD6, and we start again at next AF (probably around 5 weeks from now). I've told OH that we have to BD every day for a month in the hope we won't need to do ICSI after all. He's enthusiastic for now, but I reckon that will last about 2 days max :rotfl:.
  • Tealover I am mightily annoyed for you. I would have burst into tears with frustration. Glad you seem to be dealing with it a lot better than that!

BZ I am also demanding pics
