    All the best SK, great to hear that your work are being so supportive.

  • Good luck SK. Snuggle in Terence and Phillip :D

    Hi Ryan, can you try and reassure your wife that the doctors are there to help. At this stage they will listen to your history and talk through all the options with you. She doesn't have to do anything that she isn't comfortable with. Its likely as others have said that they will want to do some blood tests, possibly a chlamydia test and a sperm test. After that they may want to refer you to see a consultant - and they are the specialists who will help you. Good luck.

    So I have had a terrible week, a colleague at work was very nasty to me in front of some others and then a complete stranger decided to road rage me :( Just want this week to be over and start afresh next week. There really are some mean people out there. Have my op coming up soon so need good karma please world !

    I meet up with some old work friends last night and one of them told me she was pregnant. She knows about my situ but she still managed to say she pregnant in 6 weeks!! I felt like running out of the pub and going home to have a good cry but I put a brave face on (whilst looking at her scan pics!) and said my congratulations. Got home and nearly cried when I told OH but managed to hold back. She is last but one of everyone who I know who has children or is pregnant. Will it ever be my time???

    Oh well, 3 weeks till off to Las Vegas to get married. Time flies by.

    Exciting about the wedding JuJu - bet this pre-wedding (just over) 2ww goes quicker than all the others.

    +++++++++++

    Well, I have absolutely nothing new to say!

    Having a 'fallow' month before the final round of injections. I'm trying to be a bit teetotal this month (actually, you can't be a 'bit' teetotal, same as you can't be a bit pregnant! But you know what I mean...)

    Get the drugs and a baseline scan on 31 October. At least there is still some activity, as long as I'm doing something, there is hope.

    But I am mentally preparing myself for 'moving on' early next year. There comes a time when you just have to, and I think that time is nigh. But not yet..!

    +++++++

    I made a Christmas cake last night - was just going to put it in the oven when I read the bit of the recipe that said to bake it for 3-4 hours!! So I had to stay up until 1am to get it out the oven. Smells heavenly though.

    Shame I just burned the blasted rock cakes I just made though - not quite a Stepford wife yet!

    Back on the diet though - as well as knocking the booze on its head, the one thing I aim to do this month is cut down on carbs - so far so good. I have bought a Boden dress in a size 14 and it's on the snug side - but I'll be wearing it on Christmas day, come what may!

    Have also booked a 5* all inclusive holiday to the Canaries for December - one way to avoid Christmas shopping! It looks well luxe...haven't told the inlaws it's 5* tho, just that it's a 'late deal to Spain'. Don't want them thinking we're p*ssing all their cash against the wall..! Even if it's true! (It's not!)

    Anyway - low carb day. Have made some pork meatballs for lunch (pork mince, breadcrumbs, parsley, parmesan and egg) and will have them with a bit of a chilli/veg sauce. OH will have pasta, I plan to have just a few salad leaves with them - the one thing I did take away from Diet Chef (apart from a hole in my wallet) was that meatballs and salad work surprisingly well together!)

    I hope you are all well - have a good weekend!
