bigzippy, absolutely, totally, completely made up for you

I think you should cancel the fertility appt. The best outcome obviously being you simply don't need it. Even if things don't go to plan (I hope you don't think me too blunt by even mentioning it) I don't think you'd be in a good place, physically or mentally, to kick start fertility treatment. Don't think you're 'tempting fate' either by cancelling - that kind of thinking's just nonsense.
The best news! I'm really pleased for you
Loved the pic too

BZ - absolutely amazing news. Hope you have an uneventful 38 weeks ahead!
I hope your GP will refer you for an early scan but if they don't, you can always go private just for a scan http://www.thisismy.co.uk/ is one company, but there's plenty more about.
I had scans at 5.5 & 6.5 weeks. The first one was just to check it was not eptopic - as I had had surgery to clear blocked tubes the FS said there was an increased risk. There was no heartbeat at the first scan so he said to have another one the following week. As I was private I could have as many as I wanted (only £180 a time for scan & appt!) but the second one was the one which made me cry! I suppose what I am saying is that if you are going to have one early scan, I would have it after 6 weeks. I also had another one at 8/9 weeks for reassurance.0 -
