Oh congratulations Tealover! That is the best news, so glad it worked. Hope the next 8 months are filled with excitement and plans.
+++++
It's CD1 for me though..!
Having a tough day - a case of the 3.5+ years TTC blues I guess - but I'll be over it by tomorrow.
I'm mostly 'over it' anyway, but I've had some really quite convincing evap lines this week that I haven't even needed to squint at. Lots of omens too - even the pandas at Edinburgh Zoo are shaping up for it - so I was convinced that was a sign.
But not to be...bright red blood this am. And based on the '999 reasons..' wiping scale ('have no fear if it's clear etc) it's definitely over. Oh well.
Maybe I had convinced myself the sugarfree diet would have fixed my dodgy hormones. But, in the words of Fluffnutter (to paraphrase anyway..) none of that's going to do any good if my eggs are dried-out husks (which they are giving every impression of so far.)
So it's back to Square Zero.
And I'm going out tonight to a do at which a pg woman (I found out yesterday) will be present. Seriously, she looks about 60. How can her face be so wrinkly but her eggs so fertilisable? (She has 2 little ones already). Sorry, I'm a b*tch, can't help it sometimes..!
Is it just me or are babies becoming de rigeur these days? Maybe it's just a baby boom where I live (a prolonged one).
Anyway - good luck everyone, whether it's through adoption, intervention or just banging away in a triumph of hope over experience...0 -
Congrats Tea - whoooop!!!
I'm getting a bit sick of my FS appts at the mo. Went this morning and I know it was more of a check up just to see how I was getting on but it just seemed bloody pointless.
I sat down - he said so whats new, and I said well I'm on my full dose of Metformin and I've lost 13 lbs so I'm on the way...
He said - thats great, I'll see you in 2 months.
And that was it... so it cost me £3 to park in the hospital car park for a 2 min chat with the doc. And will that happen every two months...? I know I have a way to go and they won't do anything until I'm BMI 30 or below - another 5 points to go im afraid - whats the point in seeing me in another 2 months if theyre not going to do/say/tell me anything... I might be BMI 34 or 33 then - so still nowhere near. I know its a waiting process but pointless FS appts are not helping...0 -
