With the fresh unemployment figures going down the predictable path of the recession and the BBC reporting that 2/3 of us knows of someone who lost their job, I think it is just fair we do our own poll.

I selected that one - I know one person who has lost their job - my son lost his job in construction last year - is working again - in construction.
I also know someone who took voluntary redundancy a few months ago - not quite the same as compulsory redundancy.0 -
I don't know anyone that has been made redundant either.0

Well, I put two of my staff 'at risk' today and started the 30 day consultation on redeployment. More next week...0

I also know none, some have been close but all still working.0

None so far but we will be restructuring soon. Layoffs inevitable.
Consulation not started yet but I'd lay money it's started by the end of August.

I know 3 people who have been made redundant and one who had a rolling contract cancelled. One is starting up their own business, the other 3 are now on contracts so still working but with much less security.0
