I've just contacted the FOS... Seems they are waiting for information from Bank of Scotland before their adjudicator looks into my case... I am blown gaskets here! Why does the bank have as long as they like to provide all the information needed... This can't be right, If it had been County court, I would have had judgement by default.

I need to be scraped off the ceiling!

    Hi there

Sometimes they request for extra time as well, hope you have some good news soon.;)

  • It really is criminal... It is really getting to me now, thinking of other thing I can do... gone down the MP route, gonna have to think of something to do while I wait:think:
  • I received two letters in the post Saturday morning... one from my MP with a copy of a reply from FOS to her letter, basically appologising for the time it has taken but also telling her that an adjudicator has been allocated to my case, yippy!

The second letter was to me from the FOS asking for information about how the loan was sold to me and requesting a copy of the loan agreement... We seem to be having some movement, I wonder how much it had to do with contacting the MP... Not sure, but I think it is a good idea to write to them, they need to know what a bunch of morally bankrupt bankers we have in this country.

    Hi there
Sorry we missed your earlier post.

Looks like its finally moving forward for you then?:T:T cool.

If you do not have the agreement, is the account still active or settled?

Either way request for a copy of this from the finance company and enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment, they have 12 days to supply this, remember to write the account number as well, and post by recorded delivery.
    Hope this helps, good luck.;)

  • Hi, thanks for your reply... I really hope so!! I have the customer copy of the agreement, will that be ok do you think?

I finished paying the loan off in March 2008, so it is settled now.

    Thank you for the encouragement.

    Your welcome.;)

Yes that is fine, just as long as they have this then that is ok.;)

I would post this by recorded delivery to the FOS and your FOS ref number write that on the top of your agreement as well.
    Good luck.X

  • Didn't think of that... I will take down to the post office.

    Thank you.

I must say, it is so much better to share information on a site like this, you get to find out some excellent tips... I find myself addicted to tuning into this website and reading other peoples stories.

  • I have just had a conversation with someone from the FOS... They were asking for the terms and conditions of the PPI in that of the loan... I can't recall ever receiving this information, and I haven't got a copy of it in the file I kept when taking out the loan... She said they will contact the bank, but knowing how long the bank could take, is there anyway I could speed things up?

    Hi there

You are entitled to request this yourself from your bank, they should post this on your request.
Maybe someone else will have the same as you, if the loan was taken out the same year etc.

Just a thought, but check the bank's website as well, as some disclose the terms and conds on their sites.;)
