Hi boss,
I earn £14,000 but am cancelling one of my cards, I only owe £30,000 on my house as well.

The only reason I can see is that its because you already have your total salary available to you in credit. I'd appeal to them, saying that you are going to cancel one of your cards and you saw this as a replacement for it, but want to make sure you get a good limit before cancelling.0

I'm not sure but if they have sent you the card all the searches would have been done already and if you reject the card it will show up on a credit search. You may as well take it anyway.Nothing to see here, move along.0

That is correct - might as well make some use of the search and hope the appeal works.0 -

Personally I would consider a salary of 14k as back pocket money and bearing mind your indebtness I think you were lucky even to be offered a line of credit from Barclaycard.0 -
How ignorant is this...? I'm not sure you have helped answer the question in anyway.Personally I would consider a salary of 14k as back pocket money
I can also see from some other posts you have made that you have built a decent post count by being somewhat arrogant - how about this - rather than flame people just don't open your mouth.0 -

I earn £700 a month! I have 5 credit cards, each has £3000 limit!!!! Back pocket money....?
samuela66, you should take the card. And you can ask for increase limit after 6 months.0 -
we have had the same problem, we earn in excess of £25k between us but barclaycard have only given us a limit of £1250, yet our other 2 cards are much higher limits & I religously cancel the cards as they are paid off & we have no other debt other than the mortgage which is £25k owing on a £200,000 house - I think BC have cottoned on to stoozing etc & have become one of the low credit limit offers0
