Hi guys, well although car passed MOT with flying colours I do need one new tyre (MOT advisory), as it is starting to craze a bit. Unfortunately I am a bit short of cash at the moment so am going to be looking at the budget end of the market. Any recomemdations, for cheaper tyres, fitting etc.

For the price of a budget tyre you could buy a premium brand pressure tested part worn.
Budget tyres are cheap as they don't contain much rubber - it's usually carbo.

Google part worn tyres in your area. You should be able to find some michellin or continentals for 20/25 quid, which have 5mm left on them. New tyres have 8mm on.0

Avoid part worn tyres - they're not worth the risk.

i know what you are saying but by definition any used car has part worn tyres,a good quality part worn is usually better than a £25 economy special, most of the car dealers i know stick part worn tyres on there stock ,they are not going to stick a brand new tyre costing £250 on certain cars when they can buy one with plenty of life left in it for for about £40Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I agree that Black Circles and eTyres are the best bet.
Once or twice I've used Costco with their discount vouchers, but generally I use a company called Elite in Rainham, Essex and have done for 15+ years. I live about 30-40 minutes from Elite. It can be a pain to use them as they can get very busy and the wait time is long. But this is an organisation where one person drives your car in and out of the bays so that they don't get damaged or dirty - Costco are particularly bad for this; you end up with the steering wheel and door card covered in greasey muck from the fitters hands. At Elite, every hub is coppergreased, so that you don't end up with a fused on wheel when you get a flat tyre. They also have a greasy cafe on site (perfect for morning visits) and 4 wheel laser alignment. The man without a signature.0
