Ok, Folic Acid it is then! I've just been reading up on the NHS' website about pregnancy - information overload!!!! Think I'll give my brain a break and take the dog for a walk!
  • Hi all, loving all the wedding pics! I've been married before and had the big white wedding back in 1996, but we split a couple of years later (still in touch though, him & his new wife are my friends on facebook:rotfl:) OH and I have been together almost 9 years, got engaged when our DS was about 2 but never got round to getting married - there's always something else to spend the money on!

Cafc, thinking of you & sending hugs. It's so typical of things like this to happen at the weekend. Please try not to worry, sending positive vibes your way xxxxx

Welcome Sammy, I'm fairly new here myself but everyone is lovely.

Jenny, thanks for thinking of me. I feel OK today, OH is upstairs studying as he had mock exams next week so me & DS are just having a chilled day in watching SpongeBob :D

:grouphug: Cafc, stay positve and I'll keep everything crossed for you!

Welcome more Newbies, one thing I would say if you are "actively" TTC and not just not preventing pg then you may want to do either temping or ov sticks to get an idea of your cycle. Unfortunately the 28 day cycle ov cd14 is rare! Obviously not a problem for those of you at it like rabbits but if you're not bd'ing enough at the right time then it's worth knowing. I usually ov anything between CD13 and CD18. It's also worth seeing how long you lp (luteal phase - the bit between ov and af) is as anything under 10 days can cause problems.

Bitzer are we still spot on cycle buddies did you get to poas this morning? My CBFM asked for one today! CD8.

    Afternoon all
Just popping in for a bit of advice. I am finally going to make a drs appt this week - my cycle's lately have been 70+ days - making ttc difficult, hence it being 10 months since we started trying for our 3rd baby. I've been to drs in the past when my cycles have been long but they've done some blood tests and said all was normal and left me to it (in fairness we weren't ttc at the time).
When I fell pg with my eldest it was a fluke - my cycle was all over the place and we dtd one night without protection and bingo. 2nd time round my cycles were regular as clockwork and fell pg within a month of trying. When we started ttc my cycles were approx 30 days but over the past few months have got longer and longer.
I will be round about cd 35 if I can get an appt at the doctors Wednesday/thursday next week. I'm just after some advice as to what I need to ask the dr for? What I need them to investigate/do etc if that makes sense, I don't want them to fob me off.

Thinking of you Cafc - I have everything crossed for you xxx

Thank you Becs - do you have any more info on temping or ov sticks - as I don't have a clue! Where do i get them from, what do I do etc!

    Hi Sammy,
OV sticks are probably cheapest from ebay although to be fair I haven't bought them in a long time as I now use a clear blue monitor. If you have the patence and commitment for temping then it's definately the most MSE. I would recommend registering with fertility friend on line as it works everything out for you. All you need to do is take your temperature every day at the same time before you get out of bed using a basal body temperature thermometer. You can get these from Boots or ebay. It is important though that you take your temp at exactly the same time every day and that you take it before getting out of bed. If you wake during the night or are ill etc it can affect the results.
Temping will allow you to build up a pattern of when you ov in your cycle as you don't know until you have ov'd, whereas ov sticks will alert you to the fact that you are about to ov.
Wow essay! Hope that's helpful though! Any questions just ask, been here way too long and tried many things!:rotfl:

Yayyyyy i'm on that thread too :j I was married 2 months ago today!!! (and I didn't realise till just now lol, just shouted happy anniversary to DH who was sat on the loo at the time - tmi? :rotfl:) Courgette have a great day - i'm really jealous - I wish I could do it all again even though I had a mare of planning it.

Congrats to Katy & B2b - sticky babydust to you both. We're not jealous :p

Well I thought I was gonna have a breakdown yesterday when my boss actually walked into the office and the first thing she said was - You're not allowed to get pregnant for at least a year!! I swear to god she said that. Later she tried laying the guilt on by saying she doesn't know what will happen to the business if I get pregnant, given that 2 of them already are. To say I was speechless is an understatement. She crossed 2 lines there. As my boss it's actually illegal to say things like that and as my friend......well, the line is about 10 miles back<<<<<<<<<that way!!!

I keep saying it, but my plans haven't changed - everyone elses have and I refuse to change my life because they changed their minds!

Rant over. More BD'ing for us tonight again, I should OV according to FF on Saturday although i'm not sure how accurate it is. I'm temping but haven't got a blummin clue what all the lines mean :rotfl:

    Babydust to all

    SK x

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Totally illegal, friend or no friend, if she does it again, threaten her with legal action!

    Hi Ladies..

Woek up this morning with no sickness and practically sobbed.
Got to the bathroom and I wiped and had quite a bit of what i can only describe as quite watery brownish red discharge....
So Im a bit panicked, not sure what to do, DH keeps reassuring me its normal and if its brownish surely that means its old and it could be my cyst (which is called a chocolate cyst) getting rid of itself. No cramping thankfully and not had really any since.

I ended up on the floor in the shower just shaking and crying and then (dont ask me how) just stood up and was saying outloud to baby "No, you're not going anywhere you're staying with me because I love you too much to lose you again".....

Still not sure what to think and in a way im now just trying to ignore it......

say a little prayer for me and the cabbage please ladies xx

I've got my fingers crossed for you hun.
