Thanks Greenr that is reassuring to know-I've had that with OPK's too. They do definitely say wait until the test line is as dark, or darker than the control line. We mostly would get to double time bd'ing as soon as DF could see anything :rotfl:
(he must not trust me) as for the noise, we've been here since June and its been EVERY sunday morning-3am to 9am. Its a typical African church service with lots of loud singing and "shouting prayers" and ululating. I wouldnt mind if it weren't at that hour. DF said before he left to work that he noticed all the neighbours windows were closed-but says he refuses to be made to do that.
Anyway, distracted him with a bit of a freebie (or just in case) romp ;) and then we got to talking about me going back to work and he said "but I thought you were working on your business" and I told him I was planning plan B incase Im not good enough and fail. He said I was making excuses. And then I had a good ole weepy waily. I tried to explain that its my depression talking. That I feel like Im two people living in one body and its confusing me. I desperately want to see a psychiatrist but the gp called me back in the other day to say he wants me to get into CBT so that they can "talk me off of the fluoxitine", but Ive done CBT on NHS before-twice. They get me to 12 sessions, refer me to private because they're only allowed to do short term. I dont go pvt because I cant afford to and 6 months later I break down, go weird and funky and the next doctor puts me back on fluoxitine:rolleyes: Fluoxitine obviously isnt working for me anymore and if its all a gp is allowed to prescribe then surely I should be allowed to see a psychiatrist? And I have a family history, but because it was my mum and we were in South Africa NHS has no record of it and seem to disregard it...and then I think should I be trying for another baby in this state and I have to argue with myself - again - because thats the depression asking and not me. I have a wonderful life (have had for years) all the "logical happiness boxes" are "ticked", so OBVIOUSLY its not cognitive....

    Oh dear-I vented :o Im sorry, but I do feel better-thanks :D
Whew, now to go look for ME and get on with MY day :)

    Hi everyone,
No sign of AF yet! Really don't know what#s up with my body at the moment. It;s been 6 months since I came off the pill and I really thought I had gone back to normal my last few cycles, but now I don't know. Felt really ill last night, sick and headachy - got convinced that there was something wrong with my tests and I really was pregnant. Even went as far as to buy another, different test today, but guess what? Still negative. Oh well, the wait goes on....
Hugs to all who need it.

redstar, I totally understand where you are coming from. I'm CD 33 today and still nothing. Thats me 3 or 4 days late....

Did a test this morning and a bfn. Really wish I knew what was going on. It's not like I've been stressed or anything...maybe thats the problem. I must be too stressy and my body can't cope with it when I'm not stressed! Ha ha.

Any idea when/if I should test again if there is no sign of af....don't want to over do it. The tests are 10m. So I guessing that if I was pregnant they would show something up by now...or am I wrong? Still back to thinking it's my body gone mental! Ho hum. :( Feeling quite weepy about it all now - I've been really regular, you could set my watch by me right to the time of day since January until now (although I was a day late once).

Morning everyone - I've been so confused, not able to post or go in discussion time etc, finally realised its because I changed my email address (new married name now:cool:) and hadn't confirmed it!

Also just sent an email begging to have my username changed cos when I got married I changed the spelling of Maddie to Maddy (always liked it more and thought why not), so I get confused being Maddie on here - doesn't feel like my name anymore!

twinklie - sorry you are still getting messed around by you body! Sounds like me last month, period was 5 days late, I was convinced I was pg as I'd read hpts can take a week after missed AF to pick anything up. Could go either way for you, but here's hoping!

I'm rather annoyed as brought loads of work home with me to do at the weekend, was ever so good yesterday and got up early and worked just about all day on and off (was still working at about 1am then had to call it a day ). Just really wanted to get it done so I could relax today, but I've still got lots to do :(. In fact I don't mind doing the work I just wish i could extend my weekend to make up for it.
Proud to be a moneysaver!

What is it that you do Maddy?

Right do you think I wait till Thursday then before I test again? That would be a whole week late...surely if I was going to get a bfp I'd get it by then (if AF doesn't show in the mean time). I'll just have to keep myself busy and run to the loo ASAP of a morning so I don't get tempted!

twinklie - I'm an accountant, but the work I'm doing now is reviewing audit files (don't like to say I'm an auditor:o). I'm going to ask my manager if I can book the time I've worked this weekend to when i'm on holiday in a couple of weeks which would make it better - but I never know how many actual hours I've worked at a weekend.

Yep, see if you can hold out til then, then if still bfn get down to the gp for one of their tests and a check up - that is the usual advise on the hpt instructions that I've read (although this doesn't constitute medical advice bla bla bla :p)

Ha ha ha...Maddy its fine, i believe you...I'd never call you an auditor.

Being a week late...does that warrant a gp check up? I just ask because obviously when I get back to school in september I'll be less likely to go to the doctors about anything unless the ball is already in motion. I dig my head in the sand a lot when I'm at work! I guess it would save money on more hpt and they'd give me something to aim for if I still wasn't being visited by AF. Ok, I might do that then. If I say I'm normally like clockwork they might do more tests or something.

Anyone else gone to the docs over this? Not that I'm asking for medical advise as I'll probably go anyway.

After the mc I had a new period and then nothing for 60 days. I went to gp at 40 days and was referred to bloods. Ive had three cycles since then and have finally found my way referred through the system to a fertility specialist. Have my first appointment with her on 24th August but the gynae dept has already concurred with gp and started me on Clomid. Did my first cycle this month. The 23rd is 18 dpo for me so I'll kill myself laughing if I see the specialist on the 24th only to have her give me a bfp :)
I'd say its worth seeing your gp...even if all it does is get you into the system and makes them aware you're having troubles ttc.

Yeah, just talked to my OH about it and he says its probably worth it as well because at least they'll be aware for future ref if nothing else. Thursday will be CD 37 and as I prob won't get an appointment until the week after I'll probably be CD 41/42 by the time I see the doc. I normally have a 29 DC.

Thanks folks. Part of me hope AF turns up before then though...or a bfp of course!!

so sorry to hear your sad news scotsgirl and catwomen (((((hugs)))))

As for me, i still have the dreaded throat infection, hence why I haven;'t been on for a bit. I am now manageing to get fluid down so thats good. I was having to sip threw a straw for a few days. Although haven't really eaten anything. At one point doctors thought it may have been swine flu, as all my joints started to ache, my neck, head and ears all hurt me, and I ended up with temperature. was changed to different antibiotics. etc

BUT I am feeling much better today, although feel weak. So hopefully getting over it all now.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ladies and catch up with you all soon.
