Not read the bit about Tamiflu/Swine Flu as have about 30 secs but is smartie worried about a child having Tamiflu??
My DD had Tamiflu last week as the doc decided after speaking to me on the phone that she had Swine Flu - I disagreed - he put her on Tamiflu. I googled it & was horrified by the stories of pschological side effects in toddlers but her temp was 41degC so took decision to put her on it. It made her even more poorly after 2 days so a couple of days later we took her to hospital and insisted someone actually LOOKED in her ears & throat as she is very prone to infections & low & behold that's what it was. Put her on antibiotics, took her off the Tamiflu & 12 hours later she was a million times better. Wish I'd taken her to the hospital sooner but did not want to be responsible for spreading Swine Flu if she had it.
Our doctors are terrible anyway but to diagnose a 2 year old over the phone is ridiculous - I had begged the GP to do a home visit to check her ears but he refused.
HTH.

I'm now at CD 38 and going to test tomorrow (Sunday was negative). Boobs swollen and have cramps. Dr thinks I may have ovulated late but told me to continue testing with HPT and not do something silly like drink wine after a miserable negative! With DS I got a positive before AF was even due, so this wait is stressing me! Hope everyone is okay and sorry to hear about the swine flu sufferersTaking baby-steps :beer:0

mmm cherry pie could just eat a cherry pie with loads of custard mmmm0 -
No point adding me to the list - unless you want to put me down as 'no chance, so no need to waste a test this month' or something similar!
Well done on making that pie, not making me jealous or hungry as I don't like cherries! If it had been rhubarb, now that would be different...0 -
Hello to all you lovely ladies; can I please join you??? We 'officially' started TTC two months ago and I was absolutely convinced that we got lucky last month; I was SS like you wouldn't believe (or perhaps you will!). I even took 3 tests before it finally sunk in that I wasn't preggers. Have now managed to get to grips with my cycle so will going at it with a vengeance from now on!.
About myself...I'm 37 and OH is also 37. We have no children or any experiences of pregnancy so it's a bit of a gamble considering that my age is (kinda) against us. I was absolutely 100% against having children until about 3 months ago when my hormones went totally booloo and I suddenly had the urge to breed! Mother nature obviously doing it's best to perpetuate the species!
It now consumes me on a daily basis and I'm finding myself trawling mothercare and researching what car seat is best! Is that normal!!!!! please say yes or I'll just go and get myself committed now.
Anyway, that's it for now. I have read through most of the thread and am thrilled that some have managed it despite everything. For everyone else that is TTC, I wish you all the very best and know exactly how you're feeling!
