Just caught up, not really been on for the most of today. Managed to do a huge batch cook today - Chilli, bolognaise, mince & onion (just need to make into pies), cottage pies and a roast beef dinner - with more beef and gravy into the freezer. Also managed to exchange the bouncy chair I got from friends for a car seat for SIL, and been to Ikea to pick her up a cot & matress. I think she is getting there now, but she is def. gonna struggle.

Gemma - make sure you sign up to all the baby/parenting clubs - Boots send vouchers for a free change bag when you buy nappies and also money off coupons - Tesco send loads of money off vouchers for nappies, wipes and overall spends on baby products (you can combine all these for some good savings :D) and nectar have a voucher for a lovely huggies (i think) basket. I have only ever bought nappies with the above vouchers, but have a huge stockpile of newborn and size 2.

Tia - I'm hoping not to see you here tomorrow :p:D

I think we're all hoping your little one makes a serious break for it, tia, just to give you some relief :)

It's weird, I'm still feeling swollen and sore, but I'm so much calmer and happier today and I have all this energy all weekend - we got so much done and still made time for snuggles and a film. It gives me hope that we can manage to do that even with a little one in the house.

    Hi nms

Nah, got a crib, moses basket and natures nest. Got a few months before we'll need a cot. Thing is, it won't fit in our room and the kids beds will have to be put into bunks for it to fit in there so no point getting it now as we will just have to store it somewhere.

If I put the nest on ebay it will pay for a cot.

After the first few weeks and you get into a routine, you will have plenty of time for snuggles. You just got to learn to prioritise things. Like, leave the ironing and snuggle instead :D Snuggles should always be high on the list.
