yep did I forget to mention it's up for sale on eBay?
'Hairless Pregnant Foof'
I wish I had one of those. I'm too frightened to do mine properly and I'm concerned that they'll try to get at me with a razor in the hospital - some German hospitals still do that and I Do Not Want.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I'd take yourself off to Next during the sale and buy some maternity clothes, I got most of mine from there and they've lasted really well, still look really good after some hardcore wearing and still fit in the last couple of weeks. Otherwise, have a look for bundles on ebay, they tend to be great value. You could also invest in a belly band, it's a Lycra tube that holds your unfastened nonmaternity pants on in the period that's between being too big for your regular pants but too small for maternity ones.
Thanks Sugarspun,
I have ordered some tops from Next online, I really wanted some trousers but they were all gone by 7.30 yesterday morning! I hadn't even thought about pants, I bought some 'yummy mummy' pants from La Senza in the sale about 2 weeks ago but only dared put them on after the scan, they seem like normal ones though. Daft question- but do you mean things like over the bump pants?
For buying things I'm stockpiling things like nappies and wipes and stuff. Not sure if its sensible to get more of the bigger size nappies then new born ones in case the baby is big. I'll def be checking out ebay, not sure could get OH to come to a car boot (for some reason ebay is OK!?!) My SIL has apparently got us some bits already so think we will end up with loads of stuff from friends and family, and parents and in-laws want to buy the big things to help which will be amazing.
The scan was amazing, 'he' (thats what I think, although will have to wait and see) was swimming and moving so much, can't wait til I can feel it.
Sorry for the long message (again), I will be shortening them as I go on, my brain is just moving at 1 million miles an hour!Boots: £107.xx on AC :j

I would recommend a bump band too
I bought 2 pairs of maternity trousers and both no longer fitted after 26 weeks!! They are fine with a bump band though - I got a load of smock style tops that I bought in the Next Sale in April they still fit now at 30 weeks.
There are lots of new or nearly new stuff at Car boots - my OH used to turn his nose up but now is even worse than me!
I get too see my little man again on Weds :j I can't wait

Gemma, are you talking about underwear? I'm mostly wearing really low rise ones, but my backside's gone up two sizes in them so if your ego's prone to bruising it might be better to buy maternity specific ones and keep to your regular size. I hate myself a little whenever I change my undercrackers
Check back with Next in a couple of days, the returns from the VIP sales will start coming in and you might get more of what you want.
Glam - I'm the same way, although I'm tempted to let Husband do it where I'm relaxed and can stay still rather than a midwife trying to wrangle my nethers while I'm having contractions! The problem is that if I let him do it once he'll only try and do it again, and that's just not a kink I want to get into.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Welcome back Gemma - I'm glad everything looks good for you
Re buying stuff, it seems the best places to look are ebay and car boot sales, babies grow out of things so quickly that most stuff is barely used before it needs to be rehomed. People generally post deals on here when they've seen them on other boards if you're looking to buy new things.
Welcome back too Gemma. Great news on the scan. Thats when I really allowed myself to get excited too.
Re: what to buy
I'd set aside the money to buy baby clothes at the mo rather than getting any, I've been given enough to keep her going til she is 6 months plus with a further 4 lots promised. Most of it is brand new or only worn once.
Maternity clothes: buy early as they are really comfy and you can get your moneys worth that way, resell them on ebay when you are finished with them. I got lots from ebay (new), sales at Blooming marvellous, Mamas and Papas, mothercare, etc. Now is a good time for sale shopping. Mothercare still had loads Friday when I went in and their sale has been on for weeks.
Nappies: Asda (and probably other stores) have huggies Newborn Kit (in a red box with yellow handle) with 27 nappies (smallest size), small plastic carry case of wipes, 1 bigger nappy, 1 little swimmer nappy and coupons for £5 - £3 in sale a while back if they have another one. The coupons amounted to £10.10 worth all redeemable in Tesco and on things you will need anyway like Andrex and Huggies stuff (if you don't use tesco for vouchers).
Nursery stuff: Shop around loads before you make a large purchase, this goes for pushchair and stuff too, as prices can vary hugely. If family are prepared to share their Tesco Clubcard vouchers then you can double them up in store and online to get everything baby related at half price.
That should keep you going for a while, keep an eye on the forums as that is often where you see discount codes which can make a huge difference when you are spending so much money.
Best of all, enjoy it. It is the most wonderful feeling when you first feel baby move and it is great that you are now over the shock and can focus on the excitement to come.

2 weeks on Wednesday.
OK, I better go clean the bathroom and t0 -
Gemma - I got the Yummy Mummy, Does my Bump Look Big in This? matrnity short style knickers and the I Love my Bump maternity briefs from La Senza in the sale ages ago - down from £5.99 to £1.75 a pair!
They are dead comfy and I don't find they roll down like normal knickers and then dig in!
I think we have 'pants' confusion here
Gemma means pants - as in knickers
Sugar means pants - as in trousers (over the bump trousers)A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
