Nothing useful to add except :grouphug: for all. It's been such a lovely day, and I'm about to go empty the washing machine, and then Husband's making lovely dinner.

I hope everyone's having a wonderful day - my mood is sickeningly good and I'd like everyone to be having a similar flash of good feeling.

Edit: and now Tia's updated too - I was wondering how you were. *Hug* to you, it sounds stressful for you right now - but it's almost over and your little one's on the way at great speed. Not too much speed though, it's not like she's a human cannonball or anything.

Best of luck to you, your DH and your FIL, Tink!!!

I'm still here, still getting tightenings and cramps and generally feeling sore and fed up but nothing is going to happen. I'll end up with a c section in 3 weeks after I get fed up and demand one.

Went to the car boot and then the town. Had lunch in our sandwich bar, did a few jobs (folding napkins), got DH his birthday presents for tomorrow. The boys and I are back home while DH and his brother build shelving units for the sandwich bar. Got a brand new BHS blanket ticketed at £8 for £2 at the car boot that was it really. Spent £35 on DH but that got him a headset, battery pack and game for his xbox 360 so he will be happy.

And I can no longer drive. Just using the accelerator is sore and I yelp in pain changing gear and don't want to brake! That's after co-codomol. DH stressed cos he has to take me up thursday 9.30am to daycare. He's on back shift so gets home just after midnight. He's doing a lot of running about for teh shop too, but he has to get over it and prioritise ME. Got really angry when he moaned about 'when am I to get sleep?'. Does he think I'm doing it on purpose? I have to then go and rearrenge the following appointmenst round about his shifts, it's not easy for me either. I threw a strop and told him I'd just *flicking* cancel them then because I'm only doing it to get attention and not because I need to be checked or anything. *stress*

After my last de-reainforestation where I made myself bleed, I think I'll just go au natural :rotfl:

    men

hun, you did better than me, twas OHs birthday on Tuesday, and I couldnt be bothered to look for anything, so Jas and Dylan gave him hand prints and I gave him money :D Lazy ... Me ?????

I defuzzed, asked Chris to check and see how it looked and he said hairy  well duh :p

I think I will just use the razor down the sides, you know, one razor width. Sod what it looks like, DH is so wound up he don't care as he is 'not planning on wasting time looking' (he's on a promise for tonight for his birthday) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: He was moaning that when I was pregnant with DS1 at this stage, I begged a doctor to let me go home for the night as I 'was gagging for it' (and actually had to say that to him too! He later delivered DS1 and I was so embarrassed, especially as he asked DH if he was happy I got home that night!)

    Hello Ladies

Hope everyone is OK. I came on here about 3 weeks ago when I found out I was pregnant and a bit dazed and worried, and wanted to say thanks for the support you all gave me. I have now had my first MW appt and my 1st scan which shows I am 12w 2days (today) so it all feels very real now.

OH seems really happy now and keeps stroking my belly, and even headed straight for the nappy section in Mr T's today to start stocking up (not due til 29th Jan, but I guess it's good to get these things started early. I am so pleased he's come around as he looked distaught when we found out (but I was admitted to hosp with poss ectopic so that hopefully was most of it)

We've now told everyone and really looking forward to being a mummy! I've been really lucky as not felt sick or anything, however I keep falling asleep in the afternoons if I am at home or as soon as I get home from work, I never used to catnap but now I do it just about every day. Hopefully it'll ease off for a bit and I'll be able to stay awake for a whole day.

I have been applying bio oil everywhere at night too, probably going over board as I look as oily as a body builder by the time I'm finished but really want to minimise my stretch marks as I am really prone them and have lots already on my legs arms and boobs from rapid weight gain in my teens.

I have loads of questions on things like nappies and furniture but don;t want to repeat stuff that has already been answered- is this the best board to look at for good deals/ shops for baby stuff or should I be looking at other boards? I want to start spending money now so I can spread it over 6 months and not feel the pinch quite so soon!

Anyhow, sorry for the long post but am bursting to get cracking now, I;ve just had a power nap so have energy for the first time today too!

    TIA X

well I've gone from full on rainforest to virtually nothing! I got a bit carried away but figured it doesn't matter as it will grow back before anyone catches a look at it! (except OH of course as he doesn't care what it looks like )

2hrs of taking pics, almost an hour to upload and in the last 30 mins have managed to upload 3 items. OH takes bl00dy ages - only managed to take pics of half of it before I got annoyed with him!

    Right back to it

Welcome back Gemma - I'm glad everything looks good for you :)

Re buying stuff, it seems the best places to look are ebay and car boot sales, babies grow out of things so quickly that most stuff is barely used before it needs to be rehomed. People generally post deals on here when they've seen them on other boards if you're looking to buy new things.

I'd take yourself off to Next during the sale and buy some maternity clothes, I got most of mine from there and they've lasted really well, still look really good after some hardcore wearing and still fit in the last couple of weeks. Otherwise, have a look for bundles on ebay, they tend to be great value. You could also invest in a belly band, it's a Lycra tube that holds your unfastened nonmaternity pants on in the period that's between being too big for your regular pants but too small for maternity ones.

Ask whatever questions you need - everyone does, and it can be hard to navigate around this and all the previous threads :)
