Hi everyone!
Jeez its hot! I thought this was meant to be Britain!
Midwife eventually came yesterday, i was sat in waiting for her and it got to 5pm and i started to panic and thought she wouldn't come and i would never get booked in, (when i panic i really panic :rotfl:)
Then the intercom rings and i jump up and say to my sister "Its her!" run to the intercom and then say "Oh it might be Felix and Tony actually comeing back from the shop, *pause* No they have keys! Its her!"
So i let her in and she took forever to get to the door, turns out she went up to the 5th floor and im on the 2nd floor
So she came in and i sat down and she said "I hope your veins are being good today, all my bloodwork today isn't going well"
Usually my veins are excellent when it comes to taking blood, but not last night, they decided to shrink into my skin and wouldn't appear. She tried both arms and no blood was coming out :rotfl:
She filled out millions of forms and then asked if im ok to have the scan, and asked if i wanted at the hospital or at the place i had my early scan, so i chose the place i had my early scan as i love it there
I've got to go to the hospital tuesday to get my blood taken
And today First View imaging called me and asked when i would like my nucheal scan, so im having it in 3 weeks today! I'll be 12+1 then
Oh oh oh, aaand work have reduced my hours!!
I didn't realise as no one told me and i didn't check the rota, i didn't think they would change it so soon as i only requested the hours change last week. So all week i've been doing 10 hour shifts when i could of been doing 8 hour shifts
SS- i love your birth story! I liked the bit about the cookies and the nurses not getting any :rotfl: Sort of thing i would do
Congrats!!
And hi everyone else!0 -
hi EA - it is warm! I'm in a vest and skimpy shorts with my bump hanging out - not a good look! Glad ur appt went well and your scan is all sorted - time goes much quicker when you have things to countdown to.
I have tons of appts coming up now MW wants me to be seen at least weekly - if hospital clinic don't see me then I have to book in at surgery. What with that and both aquanatal and parentcraft every Monday the next 4.5 weeks is going to fly!
I had been gettin worried earlier that bubs had been quiet yesterday and today but I think he's running out of room now! He's on the move now (thank god) but not kicking as much, more just trying to roll around churning my insides!
Can't believe we start parentcraft on Monday - OH didn't get that job. Basically he was too old and over qualified (they decided they wanted a graduate) but I know it's because he's better than the guy that currently works there. But at least we will both be around when baby comes and can mkae the most of watching him grow up for a few months!
Grr - OH is 'checking' all his DVD's work before listing them but he's bl00dy watching them!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0
