WM - I said to OH when we got it we should check it for damage and he kept saying 'yeah, yeah we'll do it tomorrow' and he never did. It's now upstairs in the nursery still boxed - I said to him the other day we should check it but no, because his parents said it's bad luck to put it up he won't even open the box! His parents bought it so it will be the 3 of them that's at fault if it is damaged and I'll just get on with it! I wanted it up ages ago but I'm not allowed!
I'm going to check the 2nd box which has all the accessories in soon because I want to put the lampshade and pics up ASAP.
So full of good ideas men. Never heard the bad luck about the cot thing before. When we had DS. OH's mum said we weren't allowed to have the pram at our house before the baby arrived. That it was bad luck. So it went to their house. This time round, we were given a practically new Gracco Quattro system for free. Had it in the spare room for 3ish months and never even mentioned it to her. She asked OH what sort of pram we were going to get, when he told her we already had one and it was in the house she nearly had a fit. So funny.
OH's brother and girlfriend are expecting their second at end of Jan. And they have already been and bought a pram, a proper Silver Cross Pram, not travel system and that is now being kept at his mums. MIL is ecstatic, she really wanted a "proper pram" to push. So not practical for me. Not gonna get that in the car boot. She said to me today, if i have your baby i might take it out in their Pram. SHE CANNOT DO THAT . She can't take my baby out in THEIR pram, before they have even used it. But she's that hard faced she probably will and won't see anything wrong with it at all. Her point of view will be that its in HER house, so she can use it!!!!0 -

Congrats on the recent birth ladies i love all the pics. I looked at all the pics in the album Hypno and I love the last one he looks like his dad and you look fab.
I hate seeing the ones of me after i had ds i was so out of it still. Everyone laughed when they saw them and said how drugged up and confussed i looked nice aren't they.
Hubby felt the baby kick 4 times last night at 21 wks even with me having Anterior Placenta and being tubby so others with it may start to feel someting soon. he was over the moon.
Hubby is keen to get one of those baby buckets instead of a bath. Has anyone used one are they any good for people that have had a section or just the same weight wise as a baby bath? I think the sink will have to do as i really struggled to bend over and carry a bath.
There is a new m&P opened not too far away from us but i think it is ment to be a factory store like the main one in stoke on trent. Has anyone been to one? are they really much cheaper than the normal stores? This is my signature!0 -
Hope this works but it seems big! Not sure how to make it smaller!
This is me at 12+5 anyway (today)
ETA: The pic is too big, not the bump! I like the bump being big now!! I actually got bump-checked walking down the road yesterday, a woman pushing a pram properly checked out my bump. I like it! Better that when a guy walks past and checks out your chest that's for sure!!0 -

I poke it sometimes! lol. Im testing its firmness as the weeks go on, and its getting more firmer
But its mostly bloating and/or water retention at this stage as the baby is like an inch long :rotfl:
But its nice to look at
And when i lay down my tummy doesn't go flat anymore it sticks up a little. Prob the KFC, but maybe not
I had a McDonalds yesterday (bad i know seeing as i had an indian for dinner hehe) my sis gave me a free meal. I tried the Summer BBQ one, i hated it
Sarah - Lovely bump!0 -
