No it wasn't you i looked back and it is lou66 i thought she had her apt before me but i quess i must have mine first. I just wanted to know if she asked anything in particular. But you sound just like me. I didn't come around from the GA for 6 hours and has heart probs. One doc told me i did have a slight murmur but had tons of ecg's and they all came back fine other than the fact i have a crazy heartbeat. I even had to have an ecg while i was in labour. I will let you know how i get on on thurs.

    No problem, thanks.

See Beenie - Lou says it too so its going to be true! Just when you think you wont meet anyone you do..i was moving to France with the boys, I went out one night, not looking for anyone as i was putting my house on the market that month, met OH at the end of the night . I was bladdered , he wasnt drinking , ( i know what your thinking but it wasnt like that! honest lol ) I liked him but wasnt swept off my feet until i saw him again and he took me out and WOW the chemistry between us was just something so special and still is...we've have been inseperable every since.

Thanks for both sets of vibes Lou. Nice to hear how you met your OH too and lol at your "worked your way through some ......". Havent we all!

    Suzy *labour vibes for you!*

I'm wondering if I'm going to wake with reflux tonight... Had a bowl of soup at 9pm because I was hungry so I'm hoping that if I have nothing else I will be ok.

Planning out my hospital visitors. DH and boys Friday night, MIL Saturday night, someone else Sunday night and my own parents are going to wait till I am home and come up after work. Which I like better, seeing people in my own home, they can make the tea and DH can take them home (they don't drive).

    Hi Elastigirl
I have to see one because of the shape of my back it's curved only slightly but enough for them to worry about, also it tends to take quite a bit to knock me out !! They tend not to belive me becuse i am quite small. Let us know how it goes mines in a couple of weeks ;)

Argh, why do I always get the idiots????
I listed a maternity bra on ebay which finished Sunday. All my listings clearly state that I only ship within Britain. Anyway, the email comes through confirming winners address and they are in Germany. Grrr! Decide I might as well ship it anyway, so amend the invoice to show international postage as required. Tonight, I get an email saying that she was expecting postage to be x and now it is y. Would I please send the correct invoice? Would she please read the damn listing and not bid, or at least have the courtesy to ask if I'll help her before bidding. Very tempted to tell her to stick it. If I hadn't already tried to be helpful by sending the new invoice I bl00dy well would. Was the only thing I sold as well, didn't even cover the fees for everything I listed.

Tia - Thanks. Funnily enough i like you have been thinking about visitors afterwards. They all crawl out of the woodwork with a new baby dont they. great aunt second cousin removed freda from basingstoke etc. You sound like you have it sorted anyway. Whats the norm for recovery on a c section ?

I read somewhere , maybe here? that someone put a note on their front door which said "Mother and Baby sleeping!" so i might try that to avoid most people.

That's what I was planning to do, but mentioned it to mum the other day and got a look I've not seen since I was little:o

Guessing she thinks that won't be acceptable. However, today I have ordered my wooden venetian blinds for the lounge and they will stay shut for a good week when I get home. If I don't feel like answering the door then I won't. And if someone rings the bell who I'm not expecting they will be ignored too. Am planning on staying in hospital for a few days just til I find my feet and the visiting hours are 1.5 hours twice a day so I will only invite the people I want to see. Got a feeling there is a rule about 2 visitors at a time too, which will be my mum and dad, alternating with brother and SIL.

Last time certain Aunty came to visit she didn't even have the courtesy to take her shoes off until I yelled at her to get off my white carpet. Really don't want to be worrying about that having just had a baby. Though I'm guessing my beautiful carpet won't be white for very long

Nicki had said to try and limit the visitors for the first 3 days as it helps you recover quicker. With DS2 it was different, not juts a section. I used to run down to SCBU before visiting time if I couldn't be bothered. Passed out on folk too, but they still turned up and he wasn't even in the room with me!

I'm an anti social !!!!!! as it is, hate unanounced visitors!! Can't do too many at a time either. It's when they come in and expect a cuppa and a biscuit, go get it yourself! If you can invite yourself up, make your own tea!

Plus, I'm thinking that they will be all over the baby and ignore the boys (inlaws will do this, they did it last time) and the boys will get wound up and I'll tell everyone to p1ss off!

Harley- I dont think its unreasonable of us though. TBH I feel glad that i can say No your not coming as ive never had the B8lls to before and after all she's mine and OH's baby. We want to be selfish to some degree. You NEVER get that time back with your children again and the first few days are sooo special. Glad u feel the same.

Right im off to bed now as didnt sleep too well last night. Dont you just hate it when you wake up worrying about things (that man with my son in my case) when all us pregnant ladies do anyway is go to the toilet all night (twice nightly in my case , im lucky i believe) and try to get our bumps comfy !

    Tc all

EDIT - TIA Well i wish you a speedy recovery just in case i dont "see" you. Im anti social too tbh , we like to be on our own and hate people popping around at the best of times. We're all anti social here arent we!

    Well, how rude Tia.

I always take the older children a present and make a fuss of them before getting to the new baby. The babies don't know or care if they get a cuddle or not, but an older child will be really hurt if you go running to the new arrival and ignore them. Poor little'uns probably feel confused enough as it is without people who usually make a huge fuss of them suddenly not seeming to care anymore.

The older I get the more anti social I am getting too. I love my own company and can only really deal with one or two people at a time. Plus, I don't have an OH to fend off over zealous visitors so whilst I am figuring out how to be a mum I would like to do it in the privacy of my own home without lots of well meaning (but most unwelcome) advice.
