Does your dog like spiders? I could do with a dog that eats spiders.

Welcome back NMS! Congratulations to you on baby Liam. Everyone had been thinking of you and we were all pleased when hubby posted your news. I take it they let you out then?

I don't think there have been any births since yours. Tia, Suzy, SS and Carla are all still hanging around and wanting labour vibes. Beenie is probably having a girl (but not 100% sure). That's all I can think of!

No, both cat and dog are useless with spiders. My cat will catch flies though, but only big ones, she doesn't bother with the daft ones that fly around for days if you don't manage to kill them. Bloody useless animals :D

CSH – I remind you of a big 4x4!! Gee thanks lol x

Jenny – I click on the thanks button too and sometimes it doesn’t click, I’d hate people to read into it. I always go back and check just so I don’t offend anyone lol.

My connection is sooo slow tonight.

Suzy - it was because you thanked my post that I knew you were there!
Same with Jenny who I notice lurks quite a lot. But that's ok. I felt it was a bit rubbish when there was a clear out of the EDD list of those who didn't post. I understand that it was getting very long, but don't really feel that anyone owns the thread and should have the right to decide who is on the list and who gets removed. Some people don't have time to chat all day!

Packed lunch made. Washing hung up. Nearly time for bed. And this for me is an early night!!!

Goodnight all. Peace and love and sweet dreams.

I wish my dog would eat slugs, i get them in my kitchen at night. When i got up today there was trails on my bench - they're really pushing their luck with me but there's not much i can do because i can't figure out where they're getting in!! I give up manually chucking them out as there's a queue of more to come in as soon as i turn my back!

Sprinkling a layer of salt all round any edge of the room which leads to outside should do the trick. It kills them instantly, and leaves a dry mess which you can easily hoover up.

MY DH taught me this trick when we lived in a house with slugs and cockroaches, but unfortunately without my glasses I couldn't tell the difference and he once caught me trying to kill a cockroach with a bottle of saxa salt. He told me it wasn't going to work, so I stopped pouring salt out and bashed the roach over the head with the bottle just to prove him wrong :D

Eww cockroaches  I'd move out if i had those

I've tried the salt but can't get access to the skirting behind the kitchen units. i phoned the council once but they were rather bemused and told me i was silly as slugs weren't pests :rotfl:
They're pests when i find them in my kettle!_pale_ (this happened once)

Nicki - Ewwww ! lol, no we have the half leather , alacanta (sp?) upholstery. The car needs collecting on Friday, /so if not given birth my then , oh is going to collect, he'll be gone for 5 hours. My last baby came in 30 odd mins. Its a dilema -stay at home or risk the car seats ??

The first time the list was cleared though Sami emailed those she planned on taking off to see whether they wanted to stay on and were still reading it. I don't know if its been tidied again since, and whether this was done last time. I think there were at one time a lot of people who had joined when they got their BFP but never posted again in the whole of the 9 months and no one knew whether their pregnancies had been successful, and whether they were still reading. It was getting to the point that the list was so long that you couldn't read it in one hit without scrolling down at least once!

I agree though it would be cliquey to remove someone from the list who was an occasional poster or reader, but I hope this doesn't happen. Mind you I don't know how to edit the EDD list so I leave all that stuff to others!
