    hiya girls
just stopping by to say hello and to check if nms has came over yet!
been walkin about all day trying to evict this bubba, but it doesnt seem to be happeneing. i think the best thing for me to do is concentrate on fridays hospital appointment and wait to see what date they give me for induction. then bubba might want to surprise me and come earlier than what i thought....!!?!???
i havent been taking any RLT, EPO or doing any perineum massage - tyring to get OH to have some fun with me is a chore in itself. he just cant get his round it as his view is " that is full grown ready to live baby in ur belly and im gonna poke at it and annoy it - im not gonna do that when its sleeping in its moses basket, so i dont wanna do it now!" i understand where he is coming from, but i want to do it.!!!! lol

nor did I , and i have an intact perineum, and also went into labour bang between by two due dates and had a quick labour, so I think it mostly depends on you and your body.
Hello ladies, this is Garry Vicki's (NMS) husband writing this,
Vicki asked me if i could post for her to let you know that she gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy (Liam) on the 27/07/09 at 8:38 weighing 6 lb. There was a few slight complications so both Vicki and baby are still in hospital but are both doing very well and very healthy. hopefully home tomorrow and Vicki can fill you in better than i can.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!! Enjoy your baby. :A

I thought I had made it up, I love Olivia and had a great aunt called lillian so I sort of went for the lily with the ia ending. Unfortunately, having convinced myself I was brilliant and original and had come up with the most gorgeous name for my little girl, I then saw it in the newspaper a couple of days later. Some 30 something woman called it. Can't remember the story though.

Still think it is a gorgeous name, and it is still on the list. So please take it as a compliment if I still choose to name her Lilia

    xxxxx

Lol, that made me laugh a bit. I don;t mind if people use the name! I think it's such a pretty one. Although apparently I also think the cat's name is great, as i have now on three occasions called Lilia Kizzy :o

Last night we had our first non-crying night! :T I t was lovely. We just slept and she woke for feeds and I changed and fed her thern we went back to sleep. It meant OH got over 6 hours uninbterrupted sleep although obviously I got less cos of the feeds. We are now trying to get her off to sleep after her latest feed so we can go to bed.

We went into town and had lunch out as well and she slept for hours, which was so nice. I did realise though that my town is not very BF friendly and I'm not sure where I will feed when we are out and about as there is simply nowhere - when she did wake up we had to run all the way home uphill for 15 mins to get back to feed her! Dont; fancy doing that on my own although she did manage not to cry and we made it back without her getting overly distressed.

I am trying to sort out my birth story to post but time just flashes by.

Oh, and this is important I want to share: all of you, get some lactulose from the chemist and take it (15ml twice a day is what it says on the bottle) from the day after you give birth. It softens your stools and I promise you will thank me for this! I didn;t start taking it till yesterday (day 5) after I asked the MW about my terrible bottom pain, and I mean TERRIBLE. Save yourselves the agony and just take the lactulose from the first day and hopefully you won't be in as much pain as me. This is my major labour/birth tip for you! Dunno how much the lactulose was as my mum went to get it but it is worth hundreds in my opinion.

Tia, may I have an induction date added to the list please? It'll be 3rd August (unless it's the 2nd, but I'm thinking 3rd) :)

    Done :D

Skinty, with DS1 they gave you lactoluse automatically after you gave birth for a few days. Wonder if they still do? Though I didn't need it with DS2 bad reaction to antibiotics.

I went to bed and got back up after fidgiting for half an hour then deciding I was starving. Tired but can't get comfy. Oh and my belly hurts so bad with wind, not trapped :o but still bloody sore! What the hell I have eaten to cause it?

ETA, 36 weeks!!! Oh my god, I never thought I would get to 36 weeks!!!! I'm properly pregnant!

most GPs will prescribe Lactulose to a pregnant woman without an app just like with gaviscon ;) although I only took 5ml a day so make sure you check with pharmacist or some professional person the dosage :D

ETA - Tia they only offered senna when I had Chris and that was if you hadn't been for 2 days :)

    Can I join the gang?

Baby due 12/12, baby no.9, so hopefully no surprises.

Re. lactolose, it's good advice to take it from birth, as it takes a few days to get things moving. I have recently needed a little help. I toko lactolose for about three days, to no avail. So I bought some Senna equivalent from the supermarket. Took the required dose for overnight results, not a dicky bird. Took another dose the following night.

Wow! Dramatic? I'll say. And painful, so painful, with a very sore and swollen tummy.

So yes, get some gentle treatment in you as soon as possible.

Congrats to all who have just had babies, it really is a marvelous thing, and truly a miracle. Chin up girls who are waiting, it seems never ending in the latter weeks.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.
