Have also been looking at my stash of baby stuff, thought i'd bought more wipes than i have, need to get to boots to get some of their own make, whilst on BOGOF before the baby event finishes, which i think is Monday.

I seen these pampers wipes on the grabbit board,
    http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=53231&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051
they didn't have stock at local boots tho so have ordered 4 pks to be delivered free :money:to Boots store. They are usually £1.95 a packet so 6 for £3.66 is a steal.

Not a great start to the morning, DD has a paper round on a Sunday, but its pi55ing down here so I took her round in the car. Not great with all the stopping and starting and parking and reversing down tiny wee streets ! Bump is sore now, think I'll go back to bed....

csh when you go to collect your wipes from boots have a scan of the baby shelves too. I got the packs of pampers natural wipes for £1.10 each triple pack the other day. They had quite a few other brands marked down too and some of the big boxes of disposable nappies were marked down from £8.90 to £2.88 and 342 as well! None seemed to be the smaller sizes though and I resisited as we've bought washables. HTH's

    Tinkerbell, she is beautiful.

Thanks again to csh, I am waiting until shops at local retail park open, then i'm off to boots, instore, and matalan. Have also reserved a rug at Argos, it wasn't in stock at the at the retail park, and it will mean actually going into town for it. But it's bargain doen for £80 to £30. May send OH tomorrow, because it maybe too heavy for me to carry to the car,.

Have been awake since 5.30am. Had some kind of restless leg thing going on. Have managed to escape Sunday morning football with DS. Its usually inside, but today there is a tornament on, so it was to be outside. And its pouring down with rain. No chance, not standing out in that. I'm quite sure it will have been cancelled when we got there anyway.

OH also got up at 8 and went to Macdonalds for breakfast for us all. :T Yum bacon butty and Lattee. He's now gone back to bed, because is rough from his day out drinking in Lancaster. When he came home slightly drunk, had a feel of bump and got a few good strong kicks, kept asking if i was doing it. How am i supposed to make that kind of movement with my insides. Started rambling about how he worries about me now i'm this big??? Was so glad when he took himself off to bed, no idea what he was going on about.
  • Morning ladies :D

    Tink - she's gorgeous!
I see Suzy & SS are still here - ah well, it means I'm not moving any further up that list :D
RTL - I'm on the capsules from H&B - because it was round the corner from work and I didn't really get organised and just went for the easiest option. I know I'm probably not taking the full 6 a day, but what I am taking will help. I can't do fruit tea! Yuk!
Glam - thanks for the mention of arnica cream - I have been trying to think of the name for the past few days. I need to get this or the capsules and make a decision on a tens machine
  • Morning!

Tinkerbell- she is so beautiful. Congratulations again, and have fun on the Parenting Board.

Not sure what I'm doing today. Need to sort through the stuff OH is getting rid of to see what to eBay and what can go to charity shop. Will try and take photos and do some listings as I usually have to do a few at a time or I get really bored!

Can't decide whether to cook tonight, or whether to just do pizzas as OH didn't eat the one I got him for tea yesterday.

Have dyed my hair as it was a right state, so that's one thing accomplished today. I'm having it cut on Wednesday- going from just below shoulder length to a chin length bob as I am so fed up of it being so thick and dry at the moment.

    Morning all,

Tink - baby is beautiful! Have fun on the Parent thread.

Wedding went well yesterday. It was on until 1am, but we left about 11.30pm as I had an hours drive home and was knackered, and my feet had swollen.

It was my DH's friend from uni who was getting married, and I hadn't met his wife before. We were sitting with another friend from uni and his girlfriend who had a baby about 4 months ago, so lots of baby chat.

Everything was going well, until the bride asked the other girl when she was due!!!!
She didn't mean anything by it, she just got the 2 of us mixed up. However, poor girl must be senstitive about shifting baby weight and got quite upset that everyone had overheard. Due to the amount she had drunk, she just couldn't understand that it wasn't to do with her weight, it was just a case of mistaken identity. Bride was upset too when she realised what she had done, and the two of them were in tears and not speaking!!! :rotfl:

always, i had wondered where you'd got to!

I have my 20wk scan tomorrow too (20+2) at 9:30, slightly nervous but excited about it. Also sad that now ex won't be there, but taking DS with me and he's excited.

Tink she is gorgeous! Glad FIL is ok, fingers crossed for him.

Suzy, I've heard they do it to see if baby will fit in the pelvis, but it's outdated. It can also sneakily start things too, the head bumps against the cervix and the cervix may start to produce prostaglandins. Yay on the new car!!! :T And tbh, if baby had the cord round it's neck, (which is hugely rare) whether at home or hopsital is not going to matter. One of those things everyone is scred of but it's like being hit by a bus, how often is it going to happen? You will be fine!
  • Maybe TMI for a sunday morning :D
Oh, I've been to the loo twice this morning and each time I've had a mucas discharge after I've finished my wee. Still don't think it's a sign of anything but I have put a pad on.
