Sugar hope it starts properly soon.
Flis, if he can keep a secret maybe the sonnographer would write it down for him?
NMS, it wasn't too bad. I'm bored though and really thinking about getting the bus into town. Quite nice being able to use all the pillows and flail about all I want!0 -
Hi girls,
goodness you are all up early today!
busy day here today dd has to be picked up from my mums then she's got her last ballet class before the summer hols (OH is taking her). I need to start the big house clear up too today. OH wants to take dd to his parents today as he hasn't been for a while since his dad had his bowel cancer op.
Have a bit of a dilemma as although it's not dd's birthday til the end of aug, we managed to get one of those trampolines that were going cheap in b&q. I want her to have it now so there's a bit of summer left to enjoy it. The weather forecast on my phone says it's going to be nice today and rain all week so todays the best time to do it as it's there ready for the start of the summer hols. Only thing is it's a good hours job that I obv can't help much with and OH is acting like its all too much effort. I know it's really important he goes to see his dad but it isn't like he couldn't have gone the last two weekends.
He's gone out in the garden now to put it up but hes dragging is feet about it. Trouble is as todays the only day to do it (she's at her dads tomorrow) I told her a big surprise was coming today. The days just started off with bad feeling now and hopefully the nice things that were planned aren't going to be spoiled.
Writing this on my phone so sorry if it makes no sense!0 -
I guess my DH is the only one not attached to his underwear :rotfl:!
I missed the changing bag discussion yesterday, but I did want to add that some of you ladies might want to consider going the handmade route. Before you cringe, I would definitely check around Etsy, as there's tons and tons of cute bags on there. The MSE part is that often they are cheaper than UK retail and the shipping to the UK is usually very reasonable from Etsy sellers (unlike eBay which tends to be extortionate). I'm going to get a couple changing mats, my changing bag, some burp cloths, breast pads, etc. Plus you can feel better for supporting a home industry rather than some corporate giant. The added bonus is everything is one-off and usually ultra-trendy fabrics!!
Here's some sellers as an example:

(a key tip is try several search terms & remember that Americans would say "diaper" rather than nappy)

Fidget, ignore the bad feeling and smile through it. It'll only get worse if you acknowledge it. Just make a huge deal when he finally does it, preen his feathers a little. Men are so much like toddlers at times.
Aless, I am BANNED from Etsy!(I love it, love it, love it!!!!) (my bank balance hates it!)

tia - luckily I'm not addicted yet, but once I get enough cash together to start buying baby stuff, I can see a real bad habit forming
. The bags and things are just SO cute!!
Etsy is also awesome for jewellery, but that can get expensive.

Aless - I got two fantastic baby slings from etsy - one sized for me and one for Husband. Mine's blue paisley, his is cow print. They're very cool.
I've just realised that I probably need a changing bag. And that it will need a large washbag inside it to hold the dirty reusable nappy.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

So of course that means more Etsy! hehehe...
I'm glad so many people already know about it! I'm not always able to afford it, but I like the idea of supporting small business and work-at-home-moms and the like.
