This is a very unsociable hour for a weekend day! Off to work in a mo, then off for 8 days after today- yippee :j.
It was quiet on here last night- less than a page to catch up with. Hope everyone else was doing something lovely on a Friday night.
OH has been a very good boy this week and cleared out a huge pile of stuff, some of which can be ebayed tomorrow so that will keep me out of trouble. Other than that I am planning a week oflie ins and relaxing.
Anyone got any good plans for the weekend?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Morning everyone
Still here, it must just have been the heat or something causing the contractions but they're gone again. I've still got backache and the miscreant's head is so low that I've been reliably informed that I'm not getting any further prostaglandins till the child is evicted and I am healed. Apparently it freaks him out that he can feel both head and dilation from the inside, so to speak. I laughed at him till I almost wet myself, but to be fair I can see his point.
Beenie, are you ok? I wish I could do something to make you feel better. What an **** taking the car and the Wii.
I've updated the list with Skinty's little one's birth weight.
Labour vibes to niknak - I'd be climbing the walls if I wasn't too heavy, you must be desperate too
Happy Saturday to everyone - more cleaning and organising going on here, nothing exciting. I snapped yesterday and announced that I was throwing out all Husband's underwear and replacing it because it is all old and horrible. He protested mightily and yet this morning I find that it has been added to my to do list. Hmm....Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning All,
Hope you are all feeling well today. I have an exciting day planned, my Mum is babysitting my little boy so that Mike and I can get to the cinema to see Harry Potter. It's only the second time we have managed to get to the cinema (DS is 18 months old!).
Tomorrow we are having a BBQ to celebrate my sister's birthday, so a really nice weekend all round.
I have a dilema at the moment and thought I would share it with all you lovely ladies and see what you would do. We didn't find out the sex of our first baby and I really loved having the suprise. My Husband told me we had a son when he was born and it was a lovely moment. I would like to not find out again and have that lovely suprise at the end, but this time my Husband would really like to find out the sex. I have 3 weeks until my 21 week scan to decide. What would you do in my position. Part of me feels that I got my way last time with not finding out, so maybe I should let him have his way this time. Another part of me feels that I am the one how has to go through pregnancy and all that 'fun' at the end, so I should have my lovely suprise to look forward to at the
end of it.
I just don't know what to do at the moment, my friends and family aren't helping as they are about 50/50 split on wanting us to find out or not!!
Well, am off to tidy up before my Mum comes round to babysit later!! F xxSorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Flis, could your husband keep it a secret from you if he knows and you don't?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Flis - I suppose a lot of it is whether or not he can find out and still not tell you? My DH could NEVER manage it!!! :rotfl:Half the time, he ends up buying me a second birthday present, as he bought it early and can't wait to give it to me, as he hates keeping it secret.
Don't think he'd make it out of the scan room without telling me! Others have suggested previously asking the sonographer to write it down on a piece of paper, then fold it up right away and seal it in an envelope for you both to open at a later date (when he absolutely can't stand it anymore but you're maybe closer to your due date - or he can open it later in the pregnancy). I was curious whether boy or girl with this one, but would have been fine either way (finding out or waiting) but DH really wanted to know, so we went ahead and asked. I figured it wasn't that huge a deal, as it's not 100%, is it, generally?
Sugar - ooooh sorry the contractions stopped!!! This weekend is our big cleanup in our house as well. Had to laugh at the whole underwear thing - I did the same thing to DH recently. Although I bought the new underwear while we were out and about in town, then when he was putting it in the drawer said "Now throw out all those manky old pairs!!!" :rotfl:He pretty much had to - not enough room in the drawer otherwise! But I'd have no qualms (if I ran across a stray pair that we missed) with throwing it in the bin when an old pair went through the laundry!
Efrieze - Congratulations!!!! :j:j
Labour vibes to niknaknoo and Sugar! And to anyone else that needs it! (holding on to a few my direction as well! LOL)
DH is off work now until after the baby arrives, so roughly 3.5 wks. Yay!MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
flis - we didn't find out first time, but we both wanted to know this time. For me it didn't take any of the excitement out of the birth. I couldn't wait to see what she looked like - what colour hair she would have etc. As suggested maybe your OH could find out but not tell you?Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

Hooray, have a car today! Not housebound anymore:j Got OH's car back from the garage yesterday, no change from £800, ouch!
Think i'll go up town today and spend money on stuff I don't need just cos I can:rotfl:
Talking of cars, need to get myself organised and trade my Smart car in for something a bit more practical, have had no luck trying to sell it myself.
Whats everyones weekend plans? Its nice and sunny here just now, but not sure how long it'll last0 -
Morning ladies - first day off and I was awake at my usual work time - just snoozed until 8:30
SS - sorry things have stopped again!
Tia - hope your night on your own wasn't too bad!
Niknak - your top of the list now - no pressure :rotfl:
csh - ouch at that bill! Good luck sorting the smart car.
It's looks quite bright outside atm, hoping it stays dry so hubby can get out and do the grass, it been in need of a cut for the past few weeks but it keep raining everytime we make plans to get it done.0
