I don't like the all-white clothing much. I opted for a few gender neutral greens and yellows. Much nicer, IMO.

I wish I could find an aquanatal class in my area, Leeds, but there aren't any. Well, I've found one but it's during the day (and I work) and it's also at a private gym so I'd have to be a member there to go (and I'm not!!)

You can get time off work to attend aqua natal I'm sure. It's part of your ante-natal appointments - I think but you could check.
One in my home town is a Tuesday lunchtime but there is one near work on a Monday 3pm-4pm which I have always said I would go to but never get round to it! I have always been conscious about swimming even though I loved it as a teen. It's because my boobs were so huge and there was no hiding them! At least at aqua-natal they don't mind you wearing a t-shirt!

    Def doing Wii Fit tonight!!
Edited to add 'thanks glam' for my pink icon, I spotted it last night and OH thought I was daft at being excited!

Ah, I was trawling back through pages to see if anyone had had any scan and then noticed your sig was in pick! OH thought I was sad cos I was spending so much time on updating the list but who cares what he thinks :p

    Labour Vibes to Fairy Dawn

It's worrying me how on the ball I am with getting work stuff handed over but my house is still a tip! I think it's cause I'm so tired when I get home and I can't be bothered! Also got OH rehearsing for interviews and he likes me to ask him questions.

He's a bit down about interview today cos he said interview went well but they had said there would be a 30min test but they only gave him 20mins and he didn't answer everything. I told him that wasn't his fault and that he'd done his best - should find out tomorrow but he's really depressed now.

I'm worried we've not heard from Skinty you now 'cause I really thought she would have been on by now. Maybe HypnoNu might know

I love the bright baby clothes too, but apparently the white is traditional and convenient because you can bleach it.

I've been on the phone to the bank and the student loans people for the last hour. The bank have lost my fraud complaint update *rolls eyes* and the person I spoke to in February at the SLC took all my account details but failed to actually set up the DD for repayment, so I am now 4 months in arrears. I didn't notice it not coming out because it's an account I don't have online access to and just assumed that when I authorised it, the thing was actually authorised.

The bank annoys me more. I had to go through three people and three sets of security before getting an answer because the first one just transferred me back to general CS rather than the fraud department. Pfft. AND the middle one wasted ten minutes trying to sell me a personal loan in spite of my saying, Listen, I'm sorry, but I'm calling from Germany in the middle of the day and don't have time for the sales pitch. Can we focus on what I called for please?

Still, I will get Husband to re-fax everything tomorrow, the SLC is dealt with and now I need to dig out the quartal receipt for the hospital and compose two letters, then everything adminy is done. Radio lady arrives in twenty minutes.

Labour vibes to fairydawn, and good thoughts to Skinty. Hopefully she's just busy.

    Morning ladies
Just popping on to see if there was anything from skinty, just had an hours work to work as there were no buses due !!!! Congrats EA on seeing your little ones heartbeat it's amazing. My birthday Sunday and not sure what oh has planned but we have to get a train somewhere which is quite strange for himas he will normally drive everywhere. Would love to do aquanatal classes as a friend of mine who has not long given birth highly recommended them but theres none near me out of working hours !!!.
you're entitled to time off for them as part of ante natal care ;)

SS - I hate calling banks and such for that very reason - takes you forever to get through to the right person, then it seems you have to go round in circles forever to get done what should be a 2 minute request. Glad you got everything sorted though.

lou66 - I was given time off work for aquanatal classes when I pregnant with DS2, with no problems. They said it was all part and parcel of antenatal appointments for my (and the baby's) health. (I'm SAHM now, so no time off! lol)

lil miss - glad everything okay on the scan! I know the weight thing is not horribly accurate. lol

That being said, the midwife told me a couple weeks ago that I'd be having a huuuuuge baby (no scan to go by, just palpating the baby through the abdomen), saying it would easily be over 9 lbs. When I was a bit concerned about this (due to GD) and mentioned it to the consultant, he was not happy. He said she had acted unprofessionally and that she could not have any basis for that comment just by feeling the baby through the abdomen. And he planned on speaking to her about it. (eeeks - god, I hope she's not in hospital when I deliver! she'll be cross with me for saying something to the consultant about it)

Morning girls, not had a chance to catch up yet but had another bleed at 6am on Monday morning, went off to hospital and they told me that the next time i went home would be with the baby, I have been there ever since but after a bit of sweet talking and no more blood since Monday night they've decided to let me home, i got in about 45mins ago, have ordered a dongle as i'll most likely be back in next week and will have to stay till the baby arrives so it at least means i can keep up and entertain myself online.

Until then i'm at home and under strict instructions from everyone to do absolutely nothing...
has anything exciting happened, i'm just gonna go read back and see what i missed?
  • Glam - that doesn't seem fair? Unless they did that as a sneaky test to see how far he'd get in 20mins and how he'd handle not finishing? Would be a bit harsh if it's the latter, and am sure not best HR practice!
