Congratulations Tink! Beautiful name.
I think my cervix just regenerated itself and pulled down the shutters after my brain told it about that 13lb baby. I can imagine yelling I don't want him anymore! myself!!
Have been out for spicy dinner with the girls. Someone's getting married on the 22nd August, so plenty of wedding talk and it was really nice to be out. We have to be up early tomorrow to go get our tax classes reassigned and various other paperwork done, so I'm off for a cool shower (still sooo hot here and will be 34 tomorrow), an EPO adventure and bed.
Labour vibes to anyone ahead of me on the list - since we think Skinty has her little one I guess I'm 3rd!! At this stage I can live without being a queue jumper so long as nobody jumps me

Please don't go MM. We love hearing from you and getting updates on Dylan.
Great news tonight girls. Mum and Dad have offered to pay for the pushchair. Which means I have enough money to pay for the Freezer all at once and don't need to pay any interest on the credit card. WooHoo. Just need to try to save enough this month for the venetian blinds for the lounge and I'm nearly done with the big stuff.
Still no sign of the Mothercare vouchers but hoping they arrive by Saturday so that mum can help me spend some of them.

Harley - meant to say, glad the swine flu man wasn't in work!
My sheets arrived from Mothercare today which were missing from my last order, so at least they were as good as their word with me. Finger crossed that the vouchers won't take long. Are you still going for the pram from MC?0 -

Had to really battle to get £100.
Did however make it pretty clear that I was unimpressed and that that would be the last money I ever spent with them. They originally offered 10% of the furniture cost back. Since I had 20% discount that would only have been £48. I enquired as to whether she had actually read the 4 page report I wrote, at their request, and did she not think that was a bit of an insult? After much sarcasm and haggling from me we agreed to £100 in vouchers which should get the majority of the little bits that I need. All the bigger bits can be got much cheaper elsewhere. In fact, most things can but I decided it was better than nothing. Just waiting for the vouchers to arrive before I write my reviews for their website.
Also, I have a complete dresser and undercot drawer that they asked me to get rid of for them, to save them coming back out to collect them. Well, since they sent out so many replacement parts they are pretty much perfect and complete so I am advertising them at work at the moment. Next week I'll try the local paper and after that I'll put them on ebay.
And still, after all my problems, I have yet to receive a 'Sorry'. Am hopeful that there will be one in a nice letter with the vouchers, but not holding my breath.

That looks really nice. Only thing is it looks quite high maintenance. Will your OH be able to babysit for you to have your haircut every 4-6 weeks to keep it looking good, as it is ime impossible to have it done with baby in tow. For some reason they have built in radar that you don't want to be interrupted and even if you time the appointment for their normal nap time, they will wake demanding a feed when you are shampooed and only part cut!
For this reason, I grew my hair when expecting number 2 and wore it in a long unkempt ponytail until I went back to work following maternity leave, and could get pampered in my lunchbreak! This time round I'm going for a low maintenance style where it doesn't matter if it grows a bit shaggy at the ends, though not quite long enough to tie it back.0 -

I've already got it Fitzio. In bits in the garage, waiting for dad to come and help me lift it to put it together on Saturday. He very kindly put it away for me when he was here last then put all the furniture in front of it so that I can't get to it. lol.
Glad you had better treatment, I think I must just have a name that gets all the rubbish sent to me. Mum and dad, and brother, have the same problems. Mostly with Argos though, and I have sworn never to darken their door again either.Cross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way

harley - £100 is good - better than nothing and you can get some back from sale of extras.
Nicki - thanks. I've had a similar style to that before and it takes me about 10 mins compared to the 20mins now (and it doesn't even look that good!) I'm having to have it done every 6 weeks now as I have so many layers in it - I want volume but hair wants to lie flat!
I figured if I had it a bit longer at the front on the one side then I could get away with clipping it back and just roughing up the back and sides.
My hairdresser is my managers daughter so I go to her house rather than the salon (pay around a tenner instead of £20) and she will come to me for an extra £5 (it's an 18 mile round trip) and do OH while she's here so works out cheaper for both of us and saves a trip to salon.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
