    [STRIKE]Seconded[/STRIKE] fourthed(?)!!!!

Everyone is taking the micky today, saying how big I am, how big baby is, and how they never believed I would last until September. General consensus seems to be that she will arrive some time in August. I'm not ready!!!!!

Swine Flu man was not in office today, so was happy to stay. Amazing how many people in there have colds though. No temperatures, just sniffing and sneezing.

Was a real effort today though. Legs ache as they are carrying around so much extra weight. Still having to walk in from car park as lady who issues car pass is off until tomorrow. Still convinced she will deny me again but prepared to go to midwife to get a letter if necessary. Don't really want to finish work this early just in case baby does hang on until Sept.

And finally, for the moment, HUGE CONGRATS to Tink and Evelyn. Beautiful name. Look forward to seeing photos when you feel up to it. Thanks for letting us know.

in the clinic there are 2 waiting rooms, in the second one this woman was coughing and spluttering everywhere. OH got up in disgust and went and sat down the corridor! I stayed put - it was only a cough and sounded more like an asthmatic cough or a chest infection.
OH was moaning to the midwives about her then!

Glad swine flu man saw sense and stayed at home!

    Oh my god!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

I can't believe she actually managed it, and 6 and a half hours isn't bad considering.

    Yikes.

Congratulations to Tink on baby Evelyn! Hope you are both doing well. Look forward to photos when you feel up to it. :T

Sorry to post and run this morning. Laptop battery was dying and I was getting ready for a funeral so didn't have time to find the charger etc. It was MIL's cousin who had cancer for 14 years!

OH dropped me in town afterwards when he went to work so I could go shopping for sandals. It was horrible - my feet were swollen and kept needing the toilet. I missed having my car with me and got the train to my mum's after a few hours. Bought a pair of wedge mule sandals which I hope will do. They are a size 7!! I have never been a 7 in my life!

On the sex/gender debate, I am in the same camp as SJ. I want the surprise on the day, although with the Next sale on recently, I kind of wished I knew so we could buy gorgeous dresses or outfits instead of more white sleepsuits.

EA - I only drank a small bottle of water in the car on the way to the scan (hospital 5 mins away) and it was fine. And OH had got me worried as he had read that when ladies are carrying a bit of weight, the scan wouldn't be as clear! My pics were the clearest I have seen. Good luck for tonight anyway.

Glam - ya queue jumper!!! Glad you got to see your wee boy again. It's really not long to go now isn't it. Elle's post has spurred me on to at least make sure I buy everything I need for my hospital bag, even if it's not packed.

Congratulations Tink. I was just about to post that I wondered whether you might have had a c section as you hadn't been on for a few days, when I got to your birth announcement. Look forward to seeing pics of Evelyn (lovely name) and hearing news of FIL when you feel up to it.

    Congrats to Tink and Evelyn

Well OH has painted nursery, walls, ceiling and woodwork and put up 2 floating shelves. And has been on a couple of trips to the tip too. It all looks very nice, clean and fresh.

Knew he was thinking of doing too much. He also thought he would be able to put together, wardrobe, and 2 sets of draws, Cotbed and Changing station. No chance, he's knackered. He could just put one item up a day, but he really wants to finish it, in case he ends up back in hospital. Will just have to see how he goes.

Am wanting to go to Matalan and see if they have any of the cot bedding in the sale. Any body know, or are things differing from store to store. Once i've got that i can honestly say i'm all done.

Then it'll be a visit to boots for maternity pads and toiletries for me for hospital. Oh yes and will need Pjs and thin dressing gown and slippers. All things i can also look out for in matalan. Then my maestro card, really needs to take a holiday, before my bank does the opposite to the man from Delmonte and says NO.
