Forgot to post earlier that I really had a moment last night. Was getting undressed for bed and really felt depressed at the huge spare tire I feel is wrapped all around my torso. Felt so frustrated to be stuck in this 'waiting' stage of not being able to connect with baby via having bump & feeling movements. Also frustrating in that I feel like I just look fat and no one would know I was pregnant if I didn't tell them. I'm an impatient person by nature so this waiting for bump & waiting for movement is really hard as at least having that would help combat feeling fat/ugly. Just felt sad as right now doesn't feel like pregnancy is going anywhere as there's no tangible physical manifestation yet.
Anyway, just venting...I'm sure we've all been there. DH was so cute and responded by getting out the doppler so we could have a listen.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

I'm 6 weeks behind you but I can sympathise. I'm also very impatient and simply cannot wait right now for the real bump to come along! Anyone who doesn't know I'm pregnant will think I'm looking podgy and spotty, and anyone who does know keeps touching my belly and saying "ooh it's coming along now" or similar, except at 10 weeks it really is just bloating etc and not a real bump at all!! I'm finding that quite disheartening at the moment!0 -

I'm 10 weeks today!! Yeah when we hade the first scan at 5/6 weeks it measured 2mm and the photo was just this tiny white blob - much like a tic tac!!
Someone on here (sorry can't remember who) has a belly frog which I absolutely love! I can just imagine him/her jumping around inside the bump!!

Aless i have definately been there i just felt fat and frumpy all the time and was adamant that everyone just thought i had eaten to many pies i used to get quite upset as well. Looking back though i think the tears were more hormones than anything. You will have a lovely little bump soon enough and with a bit of clever dressing you can emphasise your belly a bit to look a little rounder now:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

I'm 17+1, which I guess would see a lot of women having bumps by now hence the mad bump-envy of late! I blame being already very round around the middle, since that obviously disguises a lot.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

I do my jackets in microwave for 10mins first then crisp em up in hot oven for 20 mins or so..they come out gorgeous! And very :money:cos use less oven power
Ditto!!! Sometimes I rub some olive oil on the skin toommm.... fancy a baked tattie now....
Aless, been there too. Between the fat look and the spotty look and the bacne.... Then you get a few weeks of looking all glowy with a bump before your doing what I do and whinging all the time about being huge and sore and secretly wondering if you could just use one of DS2's nappies rather than hauling your huge butt upstairs to the loo.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
