    Hi,

I hope this is the right forum to post in. I recently obtained a POST OFFICE TRAVEL MONEY CARD as people on the forums had previously stated it worked as a Visa Electron so you could pay for Ryanair flights without being chargd to do so.

I tried tonight to book a flight for my mum, however the card was declined.

Does anyone know what i am doing wrong - i can only presume its because when you get a Travel Money Card (Visa Electron) from the post office it doesn't have your name on the card - so when it comes to filling in the 'name of the card holder' on Ryanairs website i presume there may be where the problem lies? What should i be putting? I previously put my name, then put all my normal details for my billing address for the card (however the card isn't linked to any of my bank accounts).

Im confused as to what i'm doing wrong if other users on moneysavingexpert have adviced that the card works.

Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help???

If you use the Entropay card you input Entropay User instead of your name then no and expiry date as usual so perhaps the PO card is the same?

    Thanks for the reply

Possibly its Travel Money Card i should be entering - i presume with Entropay you provide some sort of billing address?

My concern with the TMC is i never had to give a billing address - all be it i can recall giving my address to the lady at the post office who gave me my card - however when phoning to activate it i did not need to give any details.

My mums now booked her flight seperately so its a shame i cant really test your theory without buying a flight i dont need as such.

Maybe someone who has directly used the post office Travel Money Card will reply is well.

    Thanks again :)

Travel money card from the Post Office.:j
I bought one yesterday at the counter, phoned to validate today (you have to wait the 24 hours afte purchase), managed to book 46 flights for £46.
I showed my passpot as ID, but you can use your drivin licence. I filled in my own address, the guy on the counter filled in everything else.
Validating was just keying in he number on the card, then your day and month of birth.
Really easy, I was so surprised.
Had no luck with entropay though, it just wouldn't allow me to complete thr registration:confused:
