On the other hand she did have a good job, treated herself to luxury holidays, and when the bailiffs inspected the flat they reported she had expensive tastes.
Now I have found out that she has been continuing to visit a friend in the same block, drives the same sports car, does still have the same good job, is still living expensively, and has lied about the ending of her tenancy.
Sounds like she is living the high life on borrowed money. Even if she doesn't have the cash to pay you, if you get a CCJ against her it will make it very difficult for her to borrow further.poppy100 -

Thanks for all your interest and replies.
Although I will not be stalking this woman ! Why do I need her NI number by the way ? And I would say getting worked up actually does help, otherwise I would be letting her get away with it.
Yes I did have judgement against her, received some of the debt via transfer but the rest by cheques which bounced. The order for Attachment of Earnings was granted but the bailiffs who were put off by negative responses from her employer.
It seems the key info is her home address which I do not have, but maybe as you suggest I have enough other details for someone to track her down. Sorry tbs624, I'm not up to speed with these internet sites. To be honest, I would rather hire someone to challenge her and see the process through, even if I have to share whatever is recovered - I am not after ruining her credit record or messing up her job.
I am interested in justice, which means her being made to pay up rather than continue to get away with a string of unpaid bills causing misery for everyone else.0 -
ps thanks keith and mchale for the links, if I can't find someone to take it on that seems to be how to do the court work yourself.
I will look up Thomas Higgins,0 -
""The order for Attachment of Earnings was granted but the bailiffs who were put off by negative responses from her employer."
i dont understand this - if you have an AofE - and her NI number - then surely you can go to the court and ask for money to be deducted from her salary at source.0 -

If you have the CCJ already then you don't need to go again. This debt is not satisfied and therefore the bailiffs just need instruction that the cheques have bounced as money is still outstanding.
I'm struggling with why the employers would say she has left if she still works there - does this woman have any links to the payroll / HR dept?
The bailiffs should be able to seize her car if it's in her name and not on lease, but with the NI number they will be able to run checks on her including her employment.
If bailiffs are being put off try the Sheriff Officers, put it into Yell.com with your town to find local ones.0 -
As she owes over £750, if you have an address, you can apply to have her declared bankrupt by issuing a statutory demand...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Its already been said that there is no wish to ruin there credit rating. I think bankruptcy will do that dont you0 -
i would not care if this person had to be declared bankrupt - she has deliberately stolen from OP and is evading her legal and financial responsibilities0
