just to say about 6 months ago I bought a charger from 7dayshop which was around £7 I think - no free batteries though, and totally different to the charger you are talking about apart from one thing. I could not understand why the the AAA batteries would not fit or charge, just read the above post by Carl and finally worked it out!! a flick switch!! :T I am normally quite technically minded (I think...) but had a bit of a blind spot here.. thanks carl

    :D

I was very very close to not understanding how to charge the AAA batteries but a quick scan of the instructions tells you what to do.

It's funny. I wonder how many people don't read manuals and instructions. I do with about 50% of the things that I buy. It would be quite a good poll to do.

I can't view those ebay links but the ones that I saw were without the 4AAA batteries which are worth more than the £3 extra. I actually have a lot more use for AAA batteries than AA batteries because of small things like remote controls and bike lights.

Cactus_Jack - Kentish is right. 900NiMhs are pretty much top of the range as far as AAA goes.

Don't worry. I've aleady bought mine as I got it with the £17.99 1gb SD card and it doesn take 4 at a time. It takes 2 at the front and 2 at the back. It's a very clever piece of kit actually. It's switches off the one side when it's done and will keep charging the other side if there is still more to charge. There's a little flick switch on them to that comes down to allow the AAA batteries to get a perfect fit.

Thanks for your post,i have just bought one,as it looked like a two battery charger, but seeing as its a four, absolute bargain!!!

These work fine with any cameras that need AA or AA batteries.

Well, this only comes with the 4 AA batteries... I think it's worth the extra £3 pounds to get the 4AAA batteries also...

It's very basic, it just charges for 9 hours, then switches off. So you really need to watch how long it's on for if you put partially charged batteries in. But i like it and it does what i want.
