As the other poster said, it won't do you much good to record a bunch of movies on your Sky+ if you're not a movie subscriber because they'll only be available to watch that weekend. However, if you have a DVD recorder, record them on that and watch them anytime. I imagine this would also work if you have some other digital recorder besides the Sky box.
As it's your subscription status at the time of viewing, you should be able to Sky+ some movies on Sky Movies Screen 1/HD BEFORE this weekend and then watch them during the free pass period, should you not?0 -
Totally agree with earlier posters. If they were good and reasonably current maybe I'd get a little excited but none of these films would make me want to rush out and buy a Sky Movies subscription. They have been shown so many times on other channels. But thanks to the OP for telling us about this offer. Maybe next time the films'll be better, although I do appreciate that it is all a question of personal preference.0

Depending on exactly how Sky engineer this free movies weekend, you may be able to record & watch later.
Sky channels carry digital idents which the box checks against the sky-card to see if you are able to watch it.
If Sky change the idents of Sky Movies 1 & HD to the 'basic' ident everyone will get them until they change back on Monday.
However, the ident info. is recorded as part of the stream to the hard-disk, so you would still be able to watch any films you have recorded after the weekend.0 -
I totally agree there Paul, Maybe Sky should have informed Sky customers. I haven't seen anything about it on sky. In saying that, their customer service as far as we have had dealings with them, are c**p.
But, guess thats my weekend viewing sorted out0 -

Thanks J44H, I didn't know about this. I hope my Sky+ will record some of these for me when I am out! I must free some space on the Sky+ because it is nearly all used up! :eek:0

Just a thought - are those people that already subscribe to movies entitled to a (very small) refund on their accounts?0
