    Hi gargrave,

just popped by to see if you had any news regarding lazy Mr Postie. I'm not getting anything myself at the minute regarding credit card charges, but Crapital One have said that I have no claim for PPI premiums which they said they sold legally to me. Don't see how when the contract I signed 10th June 2000 quite clearly has box ticked for no to PPI. They said that a telephone conversation on 21st June 2000, I agreed to PPIpremiums. No way I would have said no and then 11 days later changed my mind. They also said they monitor these conversations to ensure that PPIs are sold lawfully, but in 2007 they were fined by the FOS for not monitoring their calls. Surely if that the case they weren't monitoring in 2000. Can I ask for a copy of the telephone conversation, and is 2000 too late to be claiming?
Hope you get some good news soon in the post, could do with cheering up, and it's always nice when someone beats the banks at their own game. X

Hi Jodan, as far as I'm aware you can request to see any information a company has on you. I would have thought that includes recordings of telephone conversations. However, according the the data protection act, they only need to keep it for at least 6 years, so it may be a bit late now. But then again, some company's keep the records for longer.

    Hi Gargrave

You are doing excellently! Hope your registration arrives soon and good luck with your ebaying and getting your deposit together. I'm fortunate enough not to have much debt, (only OH's student loan between us), but still find your diary inspiring. I definitely need to check out some more survey and moneyback sites as we're desperately saving for a car (unfortunately a bit of a necessity) and a deposit to buy a house (we need some space of our own after 4 years with the in-laws!).

I've just started a third job today to help add to the kitty.

    Thanks Stringy:beer:

You sound like an inspiration to all of us trying to increase our income - well done on the 3rd job. If we all did what you do we wouldn't be in this mess:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My new philosophy is like yours - if I want something save for it. No more credit for us.:D

LMAO this morning:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. The tears stream down my face with laughter as I attempt to type here.falldownlaugh.gif

HBOS Visa have sent me a default notice, which includes the following little gems:

They will terminate their agreement with us - what agreement? - They haven't been able to provide a copy of this alleged agreement!:D

They MAY take legal proceedings and/or instruct a DCA to recover the amount due. I don't think so - wouldn't they need to be able to provide a copy of the agreement for legal proceedings. And whilst the account remains in default they must cease collection activity - so there goes that idea with the DCA!;)

And the best bit.........."you should be aware that if we take you to court and get a judgement against you requiring you to pay us the money you owe us under the agreement (what agreement - produce it - I'll pay it!) blah blah blah.":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Made me giggle - really giggle.:D

Yes its a standard type letter, but I can't resist a reply pointing out those points!
