Glad you got the tickets sorted and :j to the selling, you are doing well and as I've said before "do you live in a tardis" :rotfl:

Seriously though isn't it surprising the amount of stuff we accumulate x

The tardis will soon be inhabited by another person (our lovely tenant). I challenge her to cram in as much stuff as I have:D.

Someone coming to collect the mirror tomorrow afternoon - £15 in the kitty.

Also the buyer of the bed is coming tomorrow at lunchtime so there's another £90:j.

There had to be bad news at some point of today, as everything else was going rather swimingly. The nasty people at Singapore Airlines have withdrawn their offer of 40kg of luggage allowance each, because our 457 visa (which is four years) is only deemed long stay and not permanent therefore they will not offer increased baggage allowance. Extra costs coming our way then.:mad:

Still haven't tidied the house, but my guests aren't leaving London until 8am tomorrow, and as they are driving I'm hoping to get it done before they arrive :D.

Grrr... is it worth shipping the extra then? Would it add much more to your shipping costs? Flutter your eyelashes at the carrier and see if he can squeeze more in at no extra costs? :A
  • Just dont flutter more than the eyelashes.

Seeing as our shipping costs are nil it will double them:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Seriously though I will phone Singapore Airlines today and see what can be done - find out how much they charge to check in an extra bag also.

Have the man in cleaning my carpets today (not for my weekend guests - they must remain shoeless all weekend), for my new tenant. :D

£32 for hall landing, stairs and lounge.:money:

I have tried them myself with MIL's Vax but no joy.

The chaise longue is sold, a nice lady moving into a flat next week has bought it on Gumtree and will pick it up then. She will pay cash on collection so thats another £85. And on the plus side that means I have something comfortable to sit on for another week.:rotfl::rotfl:

Also the bed is being collected today around 12 so thats another £90, and hopefully the mirror between 12-2 £15.:j:j:j

I will just be swimming in cash by the end of the day!:D

Hubby heard that some people are giving us cash as gifts at the party tonight - I didn't think you got gifts for emigrating!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
