Hi Guys
Well bit of a damp start to the day. Went all the way to the car boot sale only to find all the pitches were gone, and we had to come home again.
Up even earlier tomorrow to try again.
AHPRA is the official agency which register Health Practitioners in Australia. In the UK I have to be registered with the NMC and pay an annual fee to practice and be regulated by this body. AHPRA is the Aussie version of this.
Because my Visa is being issued on a sponsorship basis, I need to prove I'm registered with AHPRA to enable me to practice so I can commence my job (and sponsorship!) when I arrive in Oz. In real terms, they won't issue my Visa without my registration being complete! So, as you can imagine the last brick is in place, and now I'm just waiting to have my Visa issued which should be within the next 7-14 days.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Just a last few items to list on eBay, so hoping to get on with that on this wet afternoon.
Met a guy randomly in the Newsagent this morning who is visiting from Oz, and gave Cole $20 to spend:j:j:j:j.
Not much more to do this afternoon, other than have another trot around the house for more bits to sell at the booty tomorrow.
Had a couple of emails re: Gumtree items overnight, but nothing has come to fruitition yet. Have a couple of enquiries which I need to follow up, so will see how that goes. Also still have some bits and bobs to list on Gumtree, so best get a move on.
Going to list the following on Gumtree today (no, really I am!)
- Hubby's Golf Clubs
- Hubby's Callaway Driver
- Cole's BMX bike
- Alan's bike
- 2 underbed storage drawers
- 32" LCD TV
- George Foreman Grill
Best get started then, as I'm early to bed tonight (again).LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hi all
We did very well at the car boot sale (eventually).:j
£300.
Also rather excited that we may have a buyer for the car via Gumtree. Asked for our best price. Car was originally on at £5.7k, then reduced to £5.2k so I've said best price is £5k although in reality we would take less.:o
Hoping he gets back to me for a test drive.
Also had a little flurry of emails re: some of the furniture. Have a buyer for the bed who will collect on Friday when they have a van - £90.:j
Sold the Christmas Tree to a buyer who collected yesterday - £10.:j
£40 of that money is spoken for as I've tried everything to clean my oven for the new tenant but its just not coming up to scratch. This is mostly due to my husband's inability to use a baking tray in my absence. The oven is a mess and I'm paying someone to come and make it look like new.:p
Which reminds me, I have to go and do the dishes and clean the hob!
Quite a few things to do today (practical things which involve spending money sadly).
1. Cole needs a haircut, and he doesn't want me to be the barber!
2. Need to order Cole an Aussie t-shirt for the party on Friday
3. Go to the Post Office to post all the items which have been paid (more finishing tomorrow)
4. Go to Alan's brothers work (JD Sports) to exchange trainers which don't fit Cole.
5. Oven is being cleaned.
6. Bank all the copper in our jar, and the cash remaining from the car boot sale.
I'm embarrassed to say I still have stuff to list on Gumtree and a last few items which I'm going to eBay. I've threatened to complete this listings for about a week now! However, it will be done today - although might leave the ebay until tomorrow and do a 5 day listing so it finishes on Sunday.;)LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Change of heart - leaving the list until tomorrow. Today will vegetate and admire my sparkly clean oven (when he's finished that is - has been at it for over an hour and still going!)
Oh, and I have early onset senility - my ebay stuff finishes this afternoon (some of it).;)LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

:j Well done!
Was this at Polmadie? A couple of years ago, we did Blochairn two Saturdays in a row then Polmadie the second Sunday. Had a much better experience at Polmadie, to be honest. The 'zombies' who attack you before you get your car open are less scary at Polmadie :rotfl:gargrave50 wrote: »Also had a little flurry of emails re: some of the furniture. Is this the spare room bed?gargrave50 wrote: »2. ..... ...for the party on Friday
...the party on Friday where you have people sleeping in your spare room with no bed? :rotfl:
I shall offer again, in case you thought I wasn't serious. If you want one or more inflatable mattresses, I'm happy to bring them to work with me and meet you in town (or you can pop in to my office) this week and you can return them after the party.I think I have three doubles in total (maybe 4). How much floor space vs guests do you have?
