Safely arrived in London and almost 1/3 way through a bank nightshift (another tomorrow night too :D), but flagging badly as I was up early this morning with DS at 6am who was struggling with jetlag:mad:.

Never mind, planning my shopping and the start of my diet which officially started 17 minutes ago:o.

Not very much to offer as an update regards debt busting. Doing as much bank as I can drum up - had an unheard of night off last night as there was no bank :(.

Never mind, trying my best to get all booked up for the remaining 2 weeks I'm still here.

Then home for 2 weeks annual leave for Cole's Communion - all paid for in advance :D.

Its Nicky Chapman - however what they don't show you is that you don't actually meet her. She simply films voiceovers for the programme!!

Had lots and lots of fun, and really opened our eyes. It has completely put our eye on the ball and really focussed all our efforts to get out of here!:T

Back to London tonight - full steam ahead with lists and plans:D.

how rubbish i thought the presenter was supposed to be there with you. Hmm goes to show how much editing they do lol (or how little attention i pay!)

So I've already been invited to join the Social Club:T.

Cole had an absolute ball and spent just about the entire week in the Sea!! He had so many experiences we could never have dreamed for him. He was a little upset the day after the Friends and Family videos and they did the final vote after that, so he voted undecided. However, I think he just felt a bit disloyal after seeing his Uncles on TV, we went to the beach after that and he said to me "I've changed my vote Mum, its Australia!".

    I suspected as much!:D

how great being invited to join the social club already :j
And bless Cole, i think my kids would be the same...good to see he changed his mind though :rotfl::T

and good luck with getting those bank shifts!

Cole asked if we could leave him there and pick him up in August! I took from that he liked it:rotfl::rotfl:.

    Hey DFW

    Good to hear from you!

Yeah apparently you only graduate to meeting the host if they do a "revisited"!

Doing my best to book up some bank, wishing lots of illness of my colleagues for a start;).

I am so glad that the show reaffirmed your desire to emigrate. I hate to be a doom and gloom merchant however, but please be really sure about your costings. To be honest we weren't, and we really struggle, though we are in NZ not Aus.

It didn't really strike us until we had been over here 6 months, that we could keep working things out in pounds and thinking how cheap that is. My OH has a really good paying job here in IT, but is only about half what he was earning in the UK. But our costs, even cut to the bone, are a much higher proportion of his salary. So most months we barely break even, and if we hadn't had savings behind us, we would be severely in debt by now....
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
