Just transferred the £5 I would have spent on a taxi this morning to the savings account. Instead I hauled my a$$ out of bed to wait for the Sunday Service Bus

We go on 8th April :j. Very excited indeed. My hubby's friend has family out there who did the move when their kids were the same age as our son Cole. So planning on meeting up with them one evening to have a chat, also they are living in the same area we are looking to settle:D.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

I have had so much outlay for emigrating costs that I haven't really been tackling any specific debt head on. Have sent a F&F to Littlewoods who stopped playing ball, and also to Wescot re: the smaller overdraft. Not much luck so far, so will have to take that battle on probably tomorrow. Bit busy today as I have a few rental agents coming to value the house. Hoping for £700pcm - let's see. The house is all nice and tidy, spick and span. It's never going to look better put it that way:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Have been saving for the Oz flights for August - almost have £900 put by and the flights are around £1750 so more than half way.:T
Will do a proper catch up later - need to pop round to the Post Office and send off some packages for eBay.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Great well you know what, that outlay should be treated as a debt, so its good thats the focus. It will be so much better with that tucked away, all ready.
Im thrilled for you, youve worked so hard for this life.
I hope you are all excited and the mother in law has stopped weeping about it. xTrying to shift that debt!0 -
The Mother in Law is still weeping about it - I'm choosing to ignore this
.
I have worked so hard for this, and all I can do now is save like a frugal old cow and do a'lot of crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
On the plus side, I have another £125.83 in my Paypal account to be transferred to the savings. On top of this, still have a portable DVD player, 2 netbooks and a surround sound system to list.:j:j:j
Hubby has some scrap to strip which should cover our Australian spending for the week we are away. Paid for Alan and Cole's flights to London with my BA miles, so all in all doing quite well.
Just waiting on the rental valuation now - will report back later. Have managed to magic up 2 lovely dinners out of cupboard ingredients. Need to pop round to the shops later for milk, self raising flour, eggs and sausages. Making a lovely pasta with sausage and a spicy tomato, chilli and riccotta sauce. Might even invest in some reduced down garlic bread;). Oh, and I might have to celebrate my success with a glass of vino.
Good news today - sorted out hubby's tax code which they had tried to shaft him with. Got a letter today confirming his tax code is now what it should be! Due £200 bank money tomorrow then hubby's wages the next day. Also no more London rent to be paid as we pay in advance, and we move out in the next 2 weeks:j.
Have arranged to borrow my friend's mini convertible to do my "house move" - now that should be a picture:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Think I'll sell most of it - less to fit in the mini:p.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Pasta sounds fab. I think you should post the recipie.
I did a pan of proper north east broth the other day, cost four quid for ingredients. We have portioned up 12 servings.
Its so filling too!
You can really stretch meat with a good broth mix!Trying to shift that debt!0 -

I've been rumbled:o...........its Gordon Ramsay tomato and chilli pasta sauce with a bit of riccotta crumbled in and some sausage meat spiced with chilli chucked through. Not exactly a recipe:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
On the plus side got the garlic bread reduced to 68p from the Co-op:cool:.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Transferred £50 to the savings account from the £176.54 which landed in my bank account today for a bank shift
.
Whipping up a batch of fairy cakes when I get back from the hairdressers. A quick cut and colour in advance of my TV appearance. Oz bound 2 weeks on Sunday:j:j:j:j:j.
Ingredients for dinner already in for tonight, and a night off the sauce me thinks:o. Used the 25% discount code for Kurt Geiger for a pair of sandals I had wanted for ages. Treat - total cost £38. Do I realise that £38 could have gone to the savings? Yes I totally do, but sod it my feet will look fantastic:D.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free
