Still making excellent progress I see Julie! and a trip to Oz on the bbc, perfect - now thats what I call money saving!

Hope the filming at the house goes well, do you have a date for the trip yet (i've not read all your posts).

Whats the latest plan for an actual emigration now?

And finally - you will let us know when you are due to be on the TV won't you (even if its not for months)!

    Hi Tixy,

So lovely to hear from you!

The programme will be on either November this year or January 2013 I'm informed :D.

All the UK filming is now done, and my house looked lovely (through my eyes anyway!). It was really full on for 3 whole days, but nothing more needs done now until we arrive in Oz on 8th April. Thank you BBC:p.

The actual date for emigration is 4th August. The temporary accommodation has been booked, and just building up the pot to pay for the flights now. Changed my clubcard points into BA miles at the bonus rate of £2.50 for 1,000 miles, and managed to shop around to get our Aussie flights for £1707 with Singapore Airlines as opposed to £2.4k with BA, £2.5k with Quantas and £3k with Emirates!!!!

I wonder will the house being on TV help with the sale/get you a better price?

I'm hoping the house is sold by the time its aired, due to a very long lead time! ;)

Forgot to add, my 10 ebay items grossed me £396.97 :D. The pot for the flights now stands at a healthy £765.22. Still have another 2 bank nightshifts to get next week, and hoping to be able to transfer £400 of that to the pot. Now to get going with listing another 10 items ;).

More good news - one of our older neighbours sons is looking for a house. Hubby is going to pop over and offer him a look around ;). Wouldn't it be wonderful to secure a sale without estate agents fees!!!!

I had ordered some food from M&S for the family coming round for filming. When I got it home I realised half of it was missing, phoned the lovely people at M&S who were profoundly apologetic. They sent some of the remaining items they had in stock and alternatives for what they didn't have, by taxi at their own expense. They have also refunded my purchase in full, and given me £20 M&S vouchers as goodwill which I have to pop in today to collect.

Up to my ears (and beyond) in paperwork for the BBC, emigration stuff and letters trying to tie up F&Fs on the remaining debts. Wescot are ticking me right off (surprise ;)).

Anyway they continue to pursue me for an HBOS credit card agreement, the balance of which is a result of grossly inflated charges and interest whilst the account has been in dispute since 2009, pending an ongoing request for a true copy of my Consumer Credit Agreement under the 1974 Act. Now they tell me the bank say what they sent me is eligible..........well of course they do you muppet. Pity its not.

Anyway here is my short reply..............

    "
    Wescot Credit Services Ltd
    PO Box 137
    Hull
    HU2 8HF

    Dear Sirs,

    Client reference 4560xxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Wescot Debt No. D3/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Client HBOS Plc
    Balance £6467.85

I am surprised to receive your letter of 21st February 2012.

Your client may well have informed you that the documents sent by them are eligible under the terms of the 1974 Consumer Credit Act in respect of my original request. I have evidence to the contrary. If Bank of Scotland are confident a photocopy of an application form NOT containing the “prescribed terms” to form an enforceable Consumer Credit Agreement (under the terms of the 1974 Consumer Credit Act), constitutes “eligible” documentation pertaining to my request, then I would encourage Bank of Scotland to proceed with legal action in respect of the above account.

My request remains unfulfilled, and I now have a collection of 4 copies of an application form. The documentation received by me from Bank of Scotland does not satisfy the terms of my request, and as such the account remains in dispute.

I will take no further action until I receive the documentation originally requested in 2009. My request remains unfulfilled, the account remains in dispute.

    Yours faithfully,"

Maybe doesn't qualify as short and sweet:undecided.

    :hello:Hi all

Had to wait up after nights this morning to catch the Post Office to send all manner of things to the Beeb and Oz. Without my 8 hours I am rubbish...........time for a nap I think. Oh that's right I'm at work!:o

Never mind, things are going full speed ahead - will get my flights confirmed this week and managed to pick up a couple of bank shifts. It's all good in the hood:grin:.
