Massive debts

Homemade macaroni cheese (not for dieters - made with double cream, mustard, nutmeg, butter etc) with spinach and topped with tomatoes for dinner tonight. Forgot the tomato when shopping yesterday - so spent the grand total of 64p on tomatoes today. Other than that - free dinner

All ebay goodies which have been paid for have now been posted.
Just found £10 old Post Office savings stamps. Took them to the Post Office but they can no longer accept them. I feel a letter coming on.................:DLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Your cooking sounds fantastic. Its only half six but I could now eat a scabby hoss (as they say in the north east).
The PPi thing will take a little time but hey, it will come good.
your ebay is flying in. Ive a lot to post then off on joliies after listing some unsold stuff, will be starting afresh on my return as my boxes are looking low.
Sorry havent been about - not sure why they call them holidays at least at work I get breaks. No matter, flying tonight....Trying to shift that debt!0 -
well well well!
don't know why i never found your thread before, but only did the other day. so have spent a few days reading though your posts from start to finish - phew!;)
and....amazing. there is so much help and info for others to learn from and take on board. i have learnt a lot re. CCAs etc and generally had a speed dip into the last 2 years of your mse life.
i am also a fellow nhs-er, and as the whole system is in flux and being generally trashed by the current government, think your decision to work in london for now is a good, but necessary one.
i am also an avid ebayer, and have a 2nd business account where the proceeds overpay the mortgage. however, have just bought a new car (although an mse good deal, honest:p) so need to start ebaying all my own personal stuff to pay for that:eek:.
re. lottery - have you ever thought about putting the money into premium bonds instead? either £50 a month by d/d or otherwise save it up to £100 before you buy some. the money then goes in every month and you get it back too! ie. £2 a week lottery=£100 per year=1200 equivalent lottery tickets per year and no money lost:).
all my car money is going into them so i can try and 'win' my car as my o/d costs me the same per month if i am £1 or £7000 o/d.
will now accompany you on your journey x0 -
Thanks for joining my merry little band firesidemaid!
Hope I can keep you all entertained in my rather late pursuit down the PPI trail. I'm pretty sure I don't have PPI on much, but as I did all the letters on a nightshift it only cost me £5.54 in stamps and already A&L (biggest fine ever for mis-selling of PPI) have 'fessed up to lumping PPI on the loan we are just about to finish paying.:j
Waiting patiently for the postman. Just made a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea to keep me company - I should really get back to work this being at home is no good for my waistline!LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

OK, now this is serious
.
I really think something bad has happened to the postman.....
Its 10.57 and I haven't seen him even pass the window, I'm locking all the doors and windows - there must be a murderer out there on the loose!
My plan to keep myself busy indoors is as follows:
1. Ransack the house for the 2 ipod shuffles I am meant to be listing on Ebay.
2. Count my pennies and if the postman appears safely take them to the wonderful coin machine at RBS which pays them into my account.
3. Transfer information onto my new direct debits app on my phone - to ensure I always know what direct debit is coming out on which day (it sends me notifications the day before:D).
4. Do some washing
5. Do the dishes (I sense a pattern)
6. Pray for the postman.:eek:LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Poor postie!
Direct debit app sounds neat.
Those ipods - you had them back in July have they gone missing? I thought you'd already listed them on ebay back then?
I see they've extended the glasses offer until Sunday - wonder if I could get an eye test today or tomorrow.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
