Shall I call it quits with Orange? Will I lose much by dropping to canary P&G?

I have been with Orange for years and they get worse. I hardly use my mobile which works as it likes and I am on my third this contract - and my contract expires as soon as I give them a month. I need to know what to do once that month is up and I am hoping someone here can advise me.

I don't get the free calls on my liveboxlike I should and I am fed up trying to resolve it. The handset never worked from purchase and the orange care was a waste of money - I am using it towards better house insurance which is also up for renewal. I do get broadband through them but that is the only thing that works.

I can drop down to canary P&G (or another one if anyone recommends) I am currently on panther but as I have been ill do not use hardly any minutes to mobiles (mainly the landline ones) and I pay BT as the free calls don;t work thru my livebox. I have my old hanset from before my previous upgrade so this wouldn't pose a problem initially.

I don't understand mobile broadband either so if anyone could shed somelight on whether that'll do me at home on a laptop or if it;s just whilst I am out and about with an i phone or something I'd appreciate that. I have tried to read up but I am at saturation point as I am looking after my elderly mum and in charge of all her affairs that have become urgent, and I have been ill and on top of this have ADHD so I feel like I am sinking slowly. Dealing with everyone elses stuff but in reality my own stuff is sliding and it is costing me money.

I don;t mind going to another provider - fancied the o2 i phone deal on here but just didn;t get organised due to other pressures.

I need to save money and reduce my outgoings. I may need the mobile more if I am well enough to go back to college in September, but as yet I am not sure how likely this is.

Literally everything is up for grabs and renewal at the moment - even house insurance (I have also posted a bit here in another section as it's broadband, home phone, TV and mobile needing addressing too).

Thanks to anyone with sound advice.:T

You really need to look at your O bills and see what type of calls your making and how many minutes you've used. The online billing with O is quite good and should help. If you are unsure about future usage then maybe pay as you go would work in the short term.

Mobile broadband is something you can use anywhere, subject to coverage - home, work, college, cafe etc. I wouldn't say it's a replacement for home broadband as it's slow and expensive.
