    The reason why I couldn't do it is because I am far to honest, hot headed and have morals, because there has been only one teacher so far in this school who hasn't shown favouritism, there is special boy and girl in the class, the boys parents give money to the school so he gets all the opportunities and the girl is a child of a teacher. Obviously the teachers have been told to give these children the opportunities and it shows. I have morals so would refuse and get the sack.

    Simply, you just come across as disrespectful towards teachers, and quite astonishingly ignorant.

    And clearly does not know the difference between to and too. Obviously incapable of being a teacher as this is very sloppy English.

    Having had my stepson's report this morning I was pleased to see that he is doing well. Apparently after covering WW2 in history he can "emphasise with children who where in the war".

    I am hoping the person teaching history does not also teach English...
    :rotfl::rotfl:
    Still, the report was complimentary so it's not all bad.

    You want to see the report from the teacher (loose instead of lose, she instead of him, capitals in the middle of a sentence) after putting in the report he uses capitals in the middle of a sentence the teacher actually done it in his report, I am not a teacher and if I was I would have proof read these reports before sending home to parents. Shall pick you all up in future.

    Cut and shut job on my sons school report as well , it was word for word the same as another child who is, due to disabilities, the bottom of the class academically. Now we're talking about primary school here, in a class of less than 30, considering we only had 5 minute slots for the parents evening I would have thought some effort would have at least gone into writing that, any adept typist could do my sons whole class in an evening.

    I'm only 25, but when I was in school all my reports were handwritten and personal, both in primary and secondary school.

    One thing I've noticed as well, they use a big font on the reports now, well in the schools near me, suppose it makes it look like a lot of work has gone into it.

    Clearly from your own grammar, you are not the one to pass judgement.

    Oh of course - your high morals stopped you spending 4 years training to be a teacher did they? Shame your high morals didn't stretch to you wanting to smash, from the inside, the corrupt, mafioso-system that passes for schooling these days! :rotfl:

    In our school, we were warned not to cut and paste comments. Of course certain phrases are repeated, but I certainly wrote personal comments on every single child in my class. I had feedback from parents stating how I clearly know their child very well!! It took me at least 10 hours to write the reports, and I only had 19 to do. I did this in my 'holidays' in May. That was along with the planning for this term and marking and assessment. I can see why some teachers would feel tempted to cut and paste, but reading it back doesn't take long and adjusting it is all that it needs to take.

    My own daughter's report is pretty bad actually (not from my school thankfully!!) He referred to her excellence at being a red cap when she was never chosen to be one!! He had told her last term that she would be selected but then chose somebody else instead. I was not best pleased with that comment!! He also stated that he had assessed her at level 4A for writing, when her SATS results levelled her at a 5!

    You do surprise me! You are NOT a teacher, what with your excellent spelling and grammar??????? You wouldn't get through the degree.

    Gosh, must be careful with my spelling in future, as should English teachers, who are teaching children the subject. As it happens I have a degree but not in English,:p, but never mind me. Try not to make it too personal, I am not tarring all teachers with the same brush, have had a couple of nice ones, only now realising that the reports are not worth writing.:rolleyes:
