Well done, I only got up about half an hour ago, been in bed with the laptop all morning. Really hoping it rains as we're supposed to be going to a bbq tonight and I really don't want to go.

    Hello everyone
Hope you all had a fab weekend. I did, but am still disorganised in the house! I will get there though, I will, I will!
Good news on the money-front though, I did not spend any money, very unusual for the weekend. I went shopping, tried some tops on, why I don’t know, I don’t need any, one was lovely but I gave it back to the girl at the fitting room, said it was no use and bolted out of the shop! Well pleased with myself. :j
Re food money, I spent none – used what we had at home in freezer etc. Now I need some advice here, I have budgeted for £7 per day for food, so I have £21 which I have not spent – should I keep this in case I need extra some other days or should I put it to the credit card now before I have a chance to spend it? What would all you clever MSE’s do?! Answers on a postcard please! LOL
    Thank you.

Yay - well done for not spending over the weekend.

And you were at shops too - I would have spent - no question.

I's be tempted to put the money to the c/card as if it was lyinjg around it would be just soooo tempting.

    Good luck

I would put that money on the credit card. If you keep it it'll help make your bank balance look better but it'll get swallowed up somewhere else without you realising it.

Oh and you should see the state of my house right now!

Yay - check out the signature! Paid the shopping money I didn't spend to the credit card, also didn't use any today so put that over too, so 4 x £7 = £28. And, we budget £35 p/w for dd's food allowance when she is away at uni. Still doing this even though she's at home for the summer and we usually spend this on more food or going out, so put this week's over too, so result is credit card is down by £63. Thank you to you all, I would not have done this if a) I hadn't found this site, and b) hadn't started this diary. This is all very strange, but I like it.

And now I am determined to get the credit card down to the £1,000 before next payday which is 16 August. I don't know how, but I feel determined.

Look at that annoying £60. That will bug you until it's gone which is great as like you said without this site, you wouldn;t have known what the balance was until you saw the statement. Well done.
