    morning all -

    i am frazzled...

went to pick Erin up from out of school club yesterday... split lip, broken tooth and blood everywhere... she'd fallen off a scooter face first...

Poor wee soul. Took her to MIU and they said it was superficial, gave her some calpol and cleaned her up... had to take her to dentist this morning for Xray and to see what they can do for her repair wise.... Nothing really until swelling goes downso back again on thursday afternoon.... No root/nerve damage evident from xray, and no missing piece of tooth imbedded in her lip, which was my concern.

She's having a day off today and chilling out at her Nana's...

    I think i need a valium!

    Poor thing....:grouphug: for Erin...

Keep on eye on the tooth....my DS got whacked in the face with a tennis racquet years ago..he broke a tooth and they mended it but its now discoloured compared to the rest of the tooth. They should have sorted it out before he was 18 but now he would have to pay to get it fixed.

    will do babes thanks......

she's so upset, it's a cracking fat lip she's got....says she looks ugly...

to be honest, she looks a poor soul, but i told her it was only temporary... some people will always be ugly...!

Hiya Bunny :hello: how're you today?

Aww Maz, poor Erin, it sounds painful. :grouphug:

Sammy, do you know what the actual risk is? Is there a limit on how much the guarantor could have to pay out? Might be easier to ask your friend if she knows the worst case scenario if both your DD and you skip the country ;).

It does ease off when I run but then gets worse afterwards. Did warm up but it was a cold damp day and there was a lot of hanging around at the start so probably was a bit cold - steep downhill bit on lumpy grass was where I think I did it

Am entered for a 5k on Weds but probably best not to do that, then nothing till start of Sept so can take it easy for a bit. Tis frustrating though! Will try the ice thing too. Ta :)

Hmm yeah sounds like rest is the best thing tbh :o:o

But yeah I had loads of time off and it comes back quickly so no need to panic too much - a week or two should heal it up nicely and I'm sorry to say no huge heels in the meantime please (they shorten the tendon and make it sore):eek:, small heel should be okay but really flats and trainers are best :D

I hate that when you get cold at the start - next race try running the first mile a lot more slowly - dont worry you wont go really slowly but it should be enough to ease the muscles in if you've got cold (and also leaves you with energy for a sprint finish :p) :D

The only reason they need a guarantor for her is because she is going on maternity leave.... her OH earns enough for the two £25k - but as they aren't married they have to be joint tenants. There is no real issue with the rent, they aren't going to skip and they or I will pay it, but I just think its a lot to ask of a friend..

Maz! Poor Erin! Must have been a right stress for you.

Snags, I'm ok. I'm just laughing at DH now-I've decided not to let it upset me...
