Morning All!!
Feeling good today but still tired too from the weekend - think I may have a slight virus or something...anyway had some lovely museli and banana for brekkie and now into coffee mmmmmmmm (wish I could go back to bed for another snooze though)
Got my works summer outing tomorrow afternoon - hope its sunny
Becky, was just looking back at yesterday's thread for summat and saw your question about sorbothanes.. yep I have got them (actually just bought some new ones cos the old ones got wet several times and the fabric came off). Think I did something to my achilles during the 10k as it started to hurt running down a hill during that and has been stiff/ sore since then. It hurts when I've been sitting or lying and eases off when I walk but running definitely makes it worse. Had a look round for advice and it seems basically all I can do is rest :(Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
back from meeting, went well, I always get quite worked up about these things...
Problem....DD1 needs a ref and they DO need clean credit history and 3 times rental income.....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Booo...I would do some walking in the meantime to keep the fitness levels up but definitely take some rest - if it hurts when you start running but runs off it may be okay to continue but only you know how bad the pain is
Okay two things to try when you are recovered might be an ice bath after running - seems to help the tendons recover and no steps at all after running or during as you can easily pull tendons this way...
Its easy to get injured in races because you are pushing hard for a particular time/faster than you usually would...did you warm up before the race - that usually helps stretch out and loosen the tendons? Do you have anything else coming up or are you okay to stick with slow jogs for a little while (as frustrating as it might be)??0 -
Sammy - I've never had my guarantors checked despite what they say...hmm not sure if its worth risking it though - can they take a bulk rent payment up front instead??0

It does ease off when I run but then gets worse afterwards. Did warm up but it was a cold damp day and there was a lot of hanging around at the start so probably was a bit cold - steep downhill bit on lumpy grass was where I think I did it
Am entered for a 5k on Weds but probably best not to do that, then nothing till start of Sept so can take it easy for a bit. Tis frustrating though! Will try the ice thing too. morning all -
i am frazzled...
went to pick Erin up from out of school club yesterday... split lip, broken tooth and blood everywhere... she'd fallen off a scooter face first...
Poor wee soul. Took her to MIU and they said it was superficial, gave her some calpol and cleaned her up... had to take her to dentist this morning for Xray and to see what they can do for her repair wise.... Nothing really until swelling goes downso back again on thursday afternoon.... No root/nerve damage evident from xray, and no missing piece of tooth imbedded in her lip, which was my concern.
She's having a day off today and chilling out at her Nana's...
I think i need a valium!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Just rung...they say anyone can be guarantor but they have to have a clean credit history so I am guessing they do check. My sister and my mum would do it but they don't work....SIL has less than clean credit.
I could ask my best friend to be guarantor but its a lot to ask.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
