Thanks for the replies. I'm going to use bourbons and chocolate custard then. I love chocolate custard and haven't had it for years.:D

UK conversion in case you wanted it:

    1. 1 package regular Oreo cookies (Not Double Stuff) – about 36 cookies (just over 500 grams of whatever biscuit you decide on, I'm with smileygill on the bourbon biccies)
    2. 6 Tablespoon butter, melted (roughly 100 grams if rounded tablespoons)
    3. 1- 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened (a little over 225 grams)
    4. 1/4 cup sugar (50 grams)
    5. 2 Tablespoons cold milk (30 ml)
    6. 1- 12 ounce tub Cool Whip, divided (340 grams, a good equivalent is marshmallow fluff (2/3) blended with whipped cream (1/3). You can buy the fluff in Asda/Morrison's possibly Sainsbury's now too)
    7. 2 – 3.9 ounce packages Chocolate Instant Pudding. (Agreed on the Angel Delight - better value :) - although another alternative would to be to make a chocolate jelly/like mentioned before chocolate custard)
    8. 3 1/4 cups cold milk (n/a if not using pudding, but maybe if using Angel Delight)
    9. 1 and 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips (About 250 grams)
Dag nabit now I want some! Let us know how it goes :j

  • Could you possibly use the chocolate philadelphia in place of the cool whip?

Just chiming in to say that cool whip (imho) is vile stuff. It is like faker than fake squirty cream except it comes in tubs. I'm pretty sure you can get a fat free, sugar free version. In the UK, I'd substitute the pudding with Angel delight (which is just a different brand but essentially the same thing) and probably make my own whipped cream. I would also probably use chocolate bourbons as I don't like oreos.

That looks very decadent. I think I'm going to have to develop a veganised version of that!

Not the British ones. I don't know if they are even vegetarian - they weren't labelled as such last time I looked.
