All I am saying is that it is reasonable to expect an MSE article to be properly researched. If there is no loss of interest during the 90 day period (which appears to be the case) then the table (which takes up most of the article), is misleading and inaccurate.

So it is not unreasonable, in my view, to ask MSE for clarification.

Exactly. Which is why I posted my query in this thread (having already read the other threads) in the hope that an MSE staffer would read it and either
(a) point me (and others) to where this is stated, or
(b) correct the article asap

They won't read it. To query/correct anything on the main site you need to contact MSE direct. All you'll get on the forum, or this thread, is Posters like me....and you

MSE NOTE - We do read the forum guys, obviously not every single post as that would take years. :)

If you think something we have mentioned is wrong please email brokenlink@moneysavingexpert.com and we will look into it.

G_M Note: Thanks. But if you ARE reading this, why do we need to email you? You can SEE what we are saying!

They do tend to read threads that MSE Team start, in any event im sure that they have spies who alert them to situations where info that they have given is being questioned. ;)

To be honest, if they read the forums a bit more, they would have learned about this a couple of weeks earlier and had the correct info.

It's the sort of mistake a financial journalist at the Daily Mail would make. ;)

After contacting Newcastle BS directly, the loss of interest for 90-days is completely wrong. Furthermore, what about mentioning the ISA???

A poor article from MSE, with misleading information.
In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:

Nice to see they DO read the forum. Hopefully they'll correct the error AND take on board comments about duplicate threads. Bit late though.....
