The Venetian in Las Vegas is lovely and has a 5 acre pool complex.
Is also nice and warm when you want to go.
The rooms are all suites and have lovely marble bathrooms,2 TV in the room, great surroundings.

The best hotel bed we ever slept in was the Heavenly bed (yes, that's what they called it) in the Westin St Francis in San Francsico, if you find a hotel with those beds and you'll be guaranteed a great nights sleep.

The far east sounds like a great option. I'm off there in october, been many times now. The food is excellent & cheap, the hotels are gorgeous and cheap. Think B&B prices here for 4 or 5* hotels in many parts of Asia. I got my flights with emirates from glasgow for just under £500 each. If you book a package you'll get a much better deal, we didn't as we have family there and like to travel a bit. Loads of offers to Thailand, Malaysia at the moment. Remember it's very cheap by british standards when you get there. For me it's a fantastic destination. Good luck and let us know what you choose.

P.s Fav hotel so far has to be the Park Royal in Penang, mid-price range but great location and lovely breakfast. Bliss!
