Sammy, it sounds like you and DH have a bit of cabin fever babes. Me and DH are like that when we have time off work, coz we're used to doing things our own way. You'll be fine when he's back at his mum'sIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Hi IS right, but not because you dont love him, just because you want to get back to your own routine. Imagine what DH and I are like after the summer 6 weeks :eek:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

okay cards on the table.....
1. me on my own would be out running all the time...however, I like getting up in the morning putting stuff on and going for a run. I have found just lately that I am having to organise myself so much just to get out that by the time i have done it its taken the fun out of it. I love running....
2. OH resents anything that I do without him, rightly or wrongly, i started running cos he did and we could do it together and thats gone tits up.
3. I have run chums and they want me to run with them hence i have to fit into their schedules and not mine (I know reading this that the answer is to do my own thing so I will do but it has just added to the confusion recently)
4. My wants/needs seem to come last at the minute and again rightly or wrongly by the time i have fought my corner i am exhausted.....
Dare i say this but....
are you underestimating the rest of the people in your family's ability to cope with you being out of the house for 45minutes... yours gals are more than capable... i know N is moving out soon, but Lil wouldn't complain if you left Chloe with her for a little while every couple of days...
You could in theory have your run out of the way and done by the time anyone else is up...
i think it's a vicious circle, you feel disorganised and feel you are not ready/able to get out and run, so you get grumpy cause you're missing the run/endorphins, so you get less productive at home and more disillusioned....
whereas if you walked away from the alleged chaos at home, forgot about it for 45 mins a day, then you come back in far more able to cope, in a better mood and happier all round....
spud - for what it's worth, you were feeling discontent the other day... i think you're missing the endorphins too... have you took your trainers out of the case yet?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Erm, not quiteI'll nip in and get em when I hear DH get up for the loo.
I still feel the same Maz. We had TT planned from October, I had Manchester to look forward to, then Leeds. Now there's just nothing even mildly exciting planned, be it a race or just a night outIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

some exercise might help.... something to work towards... a time/distance challenge that you set for yourself....
and free endorphins as well... can only help!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

No the kids can cope without me Maz, but thats not really the problem...
Lils is NEVER in.....she is either out working or out partying....
DD1 is half in and half out......she is SO grumpy a lot of the time that its like asking a bear to mind Chloe...
However much I think OH is weird I also like my life quite planned so I like to plan my runs....(not really a spontaneous kind of a gal) and not being able to plan throws me off kilter slightly.
These are maybe just excuses and I need to get on and do it....:rotfl:things will get better....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Sammy is a treadmill a possibility?
Our circs are not the same I know but I find it very hard to say 'right, I am off out' as to OH that could be time spent with him... not that he says it - he is v encouraging - but it is hard when you run the house and people in it, to just !!!!!! off on your own, whether it's for half an hour or half the day. And I am a creature of habit, I do X on X days and hate my routine being changed
I'd love a treadmill though if I had the £££ or the space... well got the space but suspect the noise next to DS's room would be a problem... and I know some people are anti-tready  but I love them (when I lived five minutes from the gym, sigh...)0 -
