I have put things into perspective a little bit and decided that I worry too much
I have given myself a mental shake and after learning that none of my safe places are in possession of my receipt, I am just going to have to pay it, the last thing I want is a CCJ, and I think that for my own peace of mind, I dont want this hanging over me.
Therefore I am setting myself a todo list every day, with the intention of being more organised and bringing in/saving the most money ever known in the history of MSE :rotfl:
Here is my goal for tomorrow...
- add 10 items to ebay (not happened unfortunatley)
- tidy the house for my sleepover (done and dusted...literally!)
- work 1 hour overtime (every little helps lol) (done!)
- do all surveys available in inbox (done, but only ne went through...£1.00)
- check for mystery shops in area (done yesterday)
- pre cook food for sleepover and make sure all friends know to bring wine!! (thats nothing moneysaving lol they always leave some for meeee!)
tonight I will list 5 items, and make tomorrows sandwiches
anyway, I will do a list every day, and let you know how I do with each thing.
I didnt do much today to be honest, but I am hoping to get some BP points tonight before everyone gets here! :T
List for tomorrow
- List 10 items on ebay
- do mystery shop in town between 11 and 4
- do surveys in inbox
- sign up for any available mystery shops
- get some time in on BP
- do some washing (its getting ridiculous!)
- prepare shopping list for next week
That'll do, its saturday for goodness sake!!
I have worked out that on top of the £50 a week that I have budgeted (sgreed with bank) for overdraft, I need to earn/save £63 a week to get paid off by xmas. I KNOW i can do it!!:APay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
List for tomorrow
- List 10 items on ebay (in the process now!)
- do mystery shop in town between 11 and 4 (got 2 for £10 offer on clothes, getting £10 reimbursed so the 2 xmas pressies for sis in laws were free!!)
- do surveys in inbox (none today!)
- sign up for any available mystery shops (none available)
- get some time in on BP (got 3700 points now!)
- do some washing (its getting ridiculous!) (Im thinking about it!!)
- prepare shopping list for next week (got the basics that have ran out but need to meal plan!)
Im very proud about the mystery shop, I have done really well!! 2 xmas pressies off the list for free (thanks again FIre Fox for that tip!)
Im hoping to only spend £30 on the shopping next week, but we need loo roll and cat food so that may not happen!! Still got some bids on the ebay stuff but its not moving particularly well
got some of DS old clothes that I will put on, timberland boots and Diesel jeans so they should do OK!!
discovered that I have £8.87 on my cash back site, so I am looking to see what I can do at the moment to get that into my account!!
The lists are helping me quite a bit cos I tend to forget things so I am hopefully going to make my moneysaving spread into my life! :rotfl:Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -

Hi Kirsten.
Your OH sounds like mine. He wants to be debt free but is happy for me to "Just sort it all out". As if by magic..... He does help though and and wants the long term aims but sometimes he finds it hard.
He has Sky sports too. Not for footie but for cricket, darts and wrestling - ARGH!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well.
You sound like you have been busy with cooking! How old is your DS? Scratchies are good altho a little bit disheartening when you only get 10p for like ever. but its free money and every little does help!!!!!DFW Nerd #11520 -

I worry, sometimes if I can't find anything to worry about I worry ! Silly isn't it ? Also I have hundreds of safe places to put 'important' things, but thery are never where I left them, think I must be catching that syndrome from my two boys..
Anyway just read your whole diary and you see the momentum building as you post. Will watch with interestDC.

:eek:OMG
Just did a snowball thingy based on what I think I can overpay by each month (extra £400 over and above what I pay now) and its telling me that I should be debt free (including the mortgage) by june 2018 :j
That is incredible since i currently have 23 years left on the mortgage!!
I need to find a snowball thing that lets me save the info onto the computer, cos id really like to keep tabs on how much i pay onto the debts compared to what it says, wihout having to type up my aprs every time!! any one know how i do this (technophobe lol)
oh and 2018 (or earlier) here i come!!!:rotfl:Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
